I worked at Allianz full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

None since Allianz took over the smaller company I worked for. Became increasingly intrusive until they took over everything.

    Cons

Allianz as a company treats people poorly. People aren't individuals, they are drones to serve the cause.

    Advice to Management

Get some smart people to work for you in management positions.

I worked at Allianz full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good vacation and benefits (a bit expensive)

    Cons

If you're not someone's favorite, you're pretty much out of luck.

    Advice to Management

Be honest with your employees and fix the systems that are very outdated.

    I worked at Allianz full-time

    Pros

Some flexible working arrangements / vehicle and phone provided could be used for personal use /

    Cons

Very poor reward for performance structure. Heavy workload and expectations. Not one project while I was employed there was managed, tested or executed properly. Politics amongst senior management. Issues identified in staff surveys only addressed if an "easy fix", otherwise ignored.

    Advice to Management

Stop focusing on trying to make yourselves look good, focus on getting a job done properly

I have been working at Allianz full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good holidays and other perks. The standard of staff is very low because only people who have no choice but to tolerate the toxic culture stay, so it's easy to stand out if you are competent. International company so opportunity to travel.

    Cons

Toxic culture of bullying and harassment which flows from the board all the way down to middle management. I've dealt with Allianz offices all over the world and top people in Munich down to staff in local branches and it's the same everywhere. Believe me, pretty much everyone who works for this company hates it. Those who stay do so because nobody else would hire them, so incompetence is rife. Very bureaucratic. A big focus on cost control at the moment driven by the CEO which means everyone is under pressure to work harder for stagnant pay and worse conditions. Terrible IT systems because everything is outsourced at the lowest possible cost or sent to development centers in India. People routinely promoted into senior positions with little experience or training in the field they'll be managing. This company is making money at the moment, but they are doing so by burning their assets to make short term gains. Group strategy is an open joke full of cliches like Customer Centricity and Digital by Default with no concrete strategy behind them. Accept a job with this company, work there for a year then tell me if I'm wrong.

    Pros

International environment, interesting projects, good colleagues

    Cons

People who don't know how to manage. Team is falling apart due to poor management. Everyday there is somebody to leave the company.

    Advice to Management

Get a business degree, just because you studied an irrelevant science does NOT mean you can also manage teams, people, processes and other resources.

I have been working at Allianz full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Not many pros as such:
Just that I got a stay for 19 days in a four star hotel (that was the only good experience as I relocated from Mumbai to Pune).
I have got a MACBOOK PRO cause I'll be working on an internal project which requires me to develop a iOS mobile app
No bond for freshers which is a plus

    Cons

My team lead is not supportive at all, I have configure the system for myself which is very difficult thing to do as a fresher.
    Lot of unnecessary projects.
The environment here is very dull which is actually demoralizing for any employee.
    Lot of politics
Also I am working this mobile project as I said which has a very short deadline and all the resources they have hired are freshers.
Company doesn't want to spend on experienced people to do their work
Package is very less for freshers just 2.4 LPA
They also want you to work on weekends even after working 45 hours a week. Thats not acceptable.
Senior level managers are noodleheads. No sense of responsibility. I don't know how they became managers they can't even understand layman examples of serves and databases.
I recommend freshers to find other alternatives.

    Advice to Management

Do good to employees and the employees will do good to you.
Increase the base package for freshers. It is way too less than the standard package offered by major MNC's.
Make it a fun place to work and not just a factory where workers have nothing else to do but work.
I won't recommend this place to anyone.

    Pros

Really can't think of anything except they pay more than jobseekers!

It's in the bus route from my home on a rainy day!

    Cons

    Bad management
    No consistent documented procedures
    Call centre environment
    Unqualified staff selling insurance
Bogus policies raised and the instigator gets to stay😩

    Advice to Management

I have been working at Allianz full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Good work - life balance.

    Cons

    01. I am a former contractor turned FTE, have been awarded multiple times, highest performer because of my work, but could not grow in terms of learning and position because I am not a malayalee and a bum licker.
    02. The senior management is all Malayalees except for one guy in Pune. All they want is to increase head count for billing purposes. They talk just about anything in the townhalls, and people who come form MNCs laugh at them.
    03. All team leads are 10+ years experienced, Pappu's of their Managers in line and secretly try to hide their frustration.
    04. The Managers hate it when you apply your brain and logic, because its only their way of thinking that is right.
    05. Mindless video conferences, countless meetings - for no reason at all, nothing purposeful is discussed or achieved - ever.
    06. Onsite visits for no reason what so ever, just for fun. Make a stupid business case and fly; thats it - its that simple.
    07. People hired laterally are hired for any random skill and later given training for the real job. The KT never stops, 4 year old people are still taking KTs.
    08. Out of the 400- staff in Pune, almost 80% has changed in the last 2 years including all the HR staff itself and half of the Senior Management. It is rumoured that the HoDs are running their own companies on family names.
    09. Lavish parties and outings in the name of team building.
    10. People are working there because they are unable to find jobs elsewhere.

    Advice to Management

There are certain employees who bring value to a company, if they leave, they would take the same value to the company they join next, its the company which is at loss, not the employee!
