I have been working at Allianz full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Benefits are great, and start the day you start. Nice people for the most part.

    Cons

Too many managers play favorites and fraternize with people looking to get ahead (and they usually do), lack of integrity in upper management. HR is of no help at all and rules are different for everyone--all depends on if you are a member of their little "club".

    Advice to Management

Feedback given several times over by many employees for several years. Nothing changes and nothing is really anonymous like they say it is. They talk a big talk, but it is all a smokescreen.

    Pros

Cafeteria, co workers, benefits, great parties, awesome work life balance

    Cons

Management, outdated systems, training, they fail to train you properly and then jump to reprimand you when you do something wrong. Recognition is not common. You are not creating any money for the company working in the call center, so there is little to no patience for mistakes.

    Advice to Management

Invest more in training and coaching, that can make a world of difference for a new employee with great potential

I have been working at Allianz full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    PTO, benefits, flexible work schedule.

    Cons

    IT, pay across all bands.

    Advice to Management

Pay people what they deserve! If you continue to keep people down pay wise you will start losing good people!

I have been working at Allianz full-time

    Pros

Flexible hours, good work-life balance, great for individuals with families, good 401(k) match - the best I received from anywhere else, telecommute, low pressure, onsite gym,

    Cons

Not great for single individuals because the benefits are more crafted for individuals with families, heavily outsourced, minimal learning opportunities, process heavy, compensation not competitive with market, lack of fresh ideas

I worked at Allianz full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Flexible shifts, good pay, good benefits.

    Cons

Management promotions based not on performance or experience.

    Advice to Management

You consolidated, yet stuck with lease on empty floor space, the closed center had best record for processing and time and many are still out of work due to your closure. We were lied to over and over even when asked directly about the future of our positions. You had the most experienced, dedicated staff in the closed center.

I worked at Allianz full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The Company itself was great, great benefits, great cafeterias (choice of two), great training and self improvement opportunities.

    Cons

The particular department I was in or the company, I'm not sure which...promoted people without degrees because it was cheaper. Advanced degrees and outside the company work experience were not recognized for promotions. This may sound as if I was passed up for a promotion...but I wasn't I never applied for anything as nothing of interest to me was posted. Hiring is on the downward slide due to poor annuity business. In the 2 years I was there, I had 3 managers, none had previous management experience or degrees. This lead to poor management, immaturity and teams without direction.

    Advice to Management

Less meetings and special projects for management so that they can address personnel issues and training. Don't delegate personnel issues to team members without the experience or education to mentor others. Hire project management specialists to run projects rather than management that should be managing employees and the department.

I have been working at Allianz full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good pay, decent benefits. Some fun people work here.

    Cons

Profit sharing and 401(k) matching are 0% vested until 3 years of service. Cubicle life for everyone without a senior manager title. Most cubicles have 1.5 walls and "0" privacy. IT systems are a complete joke. Restrictions on travel and other expenses are over the top.

    Advice to Management

Respect your employees more. Invest in IT.

    Pros

    Good comp & benefits package

    Cons

Terrible new HR team. The old HR regime was much better at representing employees to management. Huge politics between Germans and Americans. The Germans have taken over every aspect of the business.

    Advice to Management

Forget it...they will not listen anyway.
