      Pros

Easy work at most sites. Lots of communication with people. Lots of down time at most sites. Great for school.

      Cons

Not the best pay. Horrible benefits. It’s better if you don’t go through the company. Way to expensive and doesn’t even cover 1%. No PTO. Impossible to get coverage if you’re sick, or need to go to a unexpected funeral. Hard to get time off. You either have a account manager that ignores you, or belittles you. Mostly all your co-workers try to belittle you. Unexpected hours. Normally don’t work the schedule you’re promised/ signed on to work. Company cares more about themselves then their employees. No room to advance in the company. If you do, not worth it.

      Its just okay

      Pros

The medical is great. Some of the sites that they provide are excellent places to work at.

      Cons

They will hire just about anybody. I believe I saw an officer with a cane at one point. Hiring/Account managers are normally overwhelmed and disorganized. On some sites it took about 4 months to get a uniform in which I had to buy one myself just to get to work. I noticed the managers focus on specifics to impress clients and leave their officers high and dry on information, training and overall responsibilities.

      Pros

The job can provide entry level opportunities.

      Cons

This company is your typical security contractor that does not care about its employees. They will nickel and dime you constantly. The base pay is far below other firms. PTO is low and they refuse to pay out accrued PTO upon separation. The company even refused to reimburse for travel expenses on a trip that they sent me on. Account managers are incredibly non-responsive and do everything possible to avoid conversations about pay raises and benefits. Avoid this company at all costs unless you need an entry level job and then leave as soon as you can.

      Just A Mess

      Pros

Allied is great if you want to get hired and on a site quickly and are trying to get your foot in the door in the security world.

      Cons

This company does not have the backs of it's employees, in the course of less than two months on a site I saw half of my coworkers let go or asked to leave, from entry level guards manning the gates to the account manager at the site. Somehow despite this turnover there is still not a lot of room for advancement due to them having a very flat org chart.
