I have been working at AlliedBarton full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Simple and straight forward job. Mostly unsupervised so the position is very flexible. Allows for continued training on company website.

    Cons

Was promised a set pay raise after 90 probationary period, did not receive the evaluation until approximately 7 months and the promised raise was decreased by more than half. First thing said in the performance e valuation was that everybody would be rated on a scale of 1-5 however nobody would ever receive a 5 because that would me there is no room to improve. After being told that my performance was exemplary and exceeded all expectations I was rated at a 4. Management consistently ignores issues brought up by the supervisors to the point that multiple employees have voluntarily quit. Management lacks the foresight or initiative to replace lost employees leaving the staff extremely short handed. Under staffing issue extends to the point that 6 day work weeks and 12 hour shifts are not only expected but have become a normal part of employment.

    Advice to Management

Increase in wages and deliver promised raises. Address issues when they are brought to your attention. Give fair performance evaluations with achievable ratings.

    Cons

I worked at AlliedBarton full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good benefits and set work schedule. The starting pay is definitely good considering you do not need experience as a security officer.

    Cons

The only way to receive a raise if for the client to pay AlliedBarton more or to move to a different job site. Requesting days off is difficult as well. Management was not good about communicating with their officers.

    Advice to Management

Be more involved at the client sites.

    Pros

Administration staff was great. Good training, scheduling, & benefits. Well known nationwide. Employee recognition help to build moral. Site supervisors knew they're role.

    Cons

Certain accounts needed more employee back ups with training. Hour more people for on call shifts when sites have call ins.

    Advice to Management

Encourage officers to get more training when available. This will improve performance and promotion.

    Pros

Easy job, good for students of retirees looking for extra income.

    Cons

After I turned in my orders re-activating me into the service, I was told, there would be a job waiting for me when I returned. After my time was served I went to the main office and asked for my job back in Austin. I was told to reapply and then later told that HR had put me on the not able to be re-hired for not giving two weeks notice even though I was given rapid deployment orders from the Guard.

    Advice to Management

    Keep promises

I have been working at AlliedBarton full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

good pay but not enough overtime, supervisors always in your face. I wouldn't working here at all except for the discount on the phone bill they offer

    Cons

They terminated people right before Christmas now i have no job and they didn't show one sign or remorse about doing so. the employees make other employees feel bad and they yell at the person being make in fun of. they fire people who are always on time and never miss a day, then the ones that are always late and calling off and wrecking the clients vehicles they keep and promote them .

    Advice to Management

also they write people up for making a comment about age, odor, or joking around people no sense of humor at all.
