I have been working at AlliedBarton full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Nothing unless you are related to one of the crooked managers at the office.

    Cons

starting with the clowns at the office who lack everything starting with their moral values to nepotism, favoritism, racism and dishonest behavior, this place needs a complete rehab.

    Advice to Management

Go through years of rehab you might learn the basics of integrity that obviously don't know what it means.

I worked at AlliedBarton full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Paid for security license
Management was very hands off and let me do my job
Good way to gain experience in the field
    Plenty of overtime
    Okay benefits
Worked with some very professional, competent guards

    Cons

Management was a little too hands off
Only met my site supervisor once
Hired some guards with questionable abilities/experience
Sometimes felt like just a body to fill a position

    Advice to Management

Offer decent employees better advancement opportunities
Consider offering incentives for employees to better themselves (college tuition reimbursement, continued training that isn't just an Allied module)
Pay your employees better, some of these folks work in some dangerous places

    Pros

Great for part time, college students, many retired military and law enforcement personnel. Lots of positions available.

    Cons

Poor communication with in company. Low pay. Benefits are expensive. Merger of the company has made it even more impersonal. Your just another number to fill a needed shift.

I worked at AlliedBarton (More than a year)

    Pros

Lots of overtime, somewhat decent pay for this work -$16/hour base pay and $23/hour working on overtime.

    Cons

Dangerous work. Culture was violent, uber-male - lots of Ex-law enforcement, returning combat vets working for Allied Barton. Security Management spent most of their time outside smoking or in the office gossiping. Armed/unarmed. Be ready to physically fight with the drunks/mental cases they bring in to the Emergency Dept. for you to deal with. Keep your cuffs and taser ready.

    Advice to Management

Learn to value and respect your officers. This will also help you keep YOUR job.
