I have been working at Allscripts full-time

    Pros

Seems to be very innovative and willing to invest in the right people and the right technologies. They are also doing the right things to improve their position within health technology by listening to their employees and their clients.

    Cons

As a large organization, Allscripts could do a better job of improving communication between departments and groups. This would improve operations and overall client satisfaction. This is especially true because they have so many groups acting as independent business units.

    Advice to Management

Develop products that are more intuitive and easier to use. Also, never lose sight of the fact that its your people that make your company.

I worked at Allscripts full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Initial training seemed thorough and unhurried. Fellow employees in work unit were a great group with which to work. There were some impromptu and scheduled events which were entertaining.

Expected daily metrics were barely attainable, most people worked during their lunch, breaks, stayed late and came early. Raises were low. Senior resources were often unavailable or unresponsive. Promotions were difficult to obtain.
