    Pros

    Awesome work-life balance, freedom to make decisions, ability to participate in cross functional teams.

    Cons

    Like many large corporations, Allstate takes a long time to inform employees about changes, goals, results, etc. Pay is less in comparison to similar roles.

    Advice to Management

    More transparency on company initiatives would be great.

    Pros

    Love our customers; Company offers a great product with benefits/discounts not offered by other carriers. Good support system with Underwriting, Agency Support staff and Claims.

    Cons

    Every agency is different so salary, commission, bonuses will vary. Not all agents are in the office daily and some won't handle customer service calls which can be frustrating with a small office environment (1-2 employees). Customers don't like it when their agent isn't there and available. Others take the "summer off" so you're basically running the day-to-day operations in addition to trying to make your sales goals. Personally I don't like working until 6:00 with a busy family.

    Advice to Management

    Let your employees know they're appreciated especially when you expect them to 'run the agency' in your absence for days/weeks. New employees shouldn't receive the same vacation time as those that have been there longer. Be available for new employees to answer their questions vs. having the only other office member train in addition to their regular job duties.

    Great benefits, including vacation, insurance, flex days. Positive atmosphere, encouraging bosses.

    Cons

    Sometimes not able to get certain dates off for vacation because of an already abundance of employees off. Which is understandable.

    Keep rewarding and encouraging employees.
