    Cons

I worked at Almac full-time No job security.Work 10-12 hours a day and even weekends. They hire new employees, burn them out and send them on their way.High stress, high demand, low and lousy support, very demotivating place to work, stay away. Backstabbing culture, there is no team atmosphere, Management is negative, tense and not approachable. Favoritism . Dev department runs by sick people with mo moral at... all. All managers are fake and all what they do is find the way how to fire good people.

    Advice to Management

Advice to the owners: Fire management across the board and reinstall a whole new line of people who know how to effectively LEAD AND INSPIRE. Leaders who collaborate, respect, and include their people in on the process. Hire leaders who have shown they know how to LEAD. Quit promoting good workers to management positions for which they have no experience nor talent for and then expect them to manage well when you... give them zero management training and not much support.

I worked at Almac Group full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Some of the people have good hearts, the hours, benefits, and that's about it! Everything else about the company is going down hill and more and more good people will leave to better jobs.

    Cons

Management is horrible and favors those that kiss their butt and act like their parrot ! The company hides things just like a Catholic Church! GL's don't know their job but are still employed!

    Advice to Management

If one has to give advice for management to do their job then they shouldn't be in management

    Pros

Project Management was best in the industry.

    Cons

They've lost a lot of good people since the CRM system was launched 2 years ago.

    Advice to Management

Need to fix CRM or hiring enough people to do the work now that it is less efficient.

    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Almac Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Decent benefits (5 weeks PTO combined sick/vacation/floating holidays), but also overrated (everyone cites this as their reason for remaining in spite of the problems). Good people (including middle management)- very diverse and a good mix of personalities (though some are out of control).

    Cons

Lack of opportunities to utilize development skills, high pressure environment without any support from senior management. I didn't look forward to coming in to work for the last two years I was there. NOT a software development company, so there is no real software development culture here.

    Advice to Management

Create opportunities, and get out of the way of productivity. Management is either completely absent and unsupportive, or way too hands-on and interfering in everything.

I have been working at Almac Group full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Lots of good people who want to do good, benefits and 401K very good.

    Cons

Overworked, clunky upper management, sometimes feel like no support.

    Advice to Management

look outside the box and don't be afraid to take a risk, need to hire before the work comes in so that proper people are trained.
