I have been working at Altair Engineering as an intern (More than a year)

    Pros

Altiar has a very relaxed attitude and allows most employees very flexible scheduling.
Management is very knowledgeable about the industry and the company is heading in a good direction. I found that most people at the company were friendly and content with their job.a

    Cons

The biggest downside is that most work is entirely digital and it is rare to hold anything you worked on in your hands.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook

I worked at Altair Engineering full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

More free and leisure time to play TT, carroms etc, especially for PDD due to lack of projects.
No PROS for the time being in PDD... Company was at its best 5 years back. since 2012 projects has gone drastically down.. more competitors at competing rates..

    Cons

lack of technical people... special consideration or discrimination exist in teams for local people, and doesnt look on talents... Firing of employees is a regular thing now a days.... especially for out station candidates

    Advice to Management

No idea.... how company can regain its golden times.....

I worked at Altair Engineering full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Seemed like there were some changes when I left. So I cant be sure how it is now. And I do know there are some other teams that had members that were satisfied.

    Cons

Worked in the CAD Product development team in India. No one seemed to know what they were doing/or the work was too menial and didn't add much value. Managers were non technical.

    Advice to Management

bring in better talent and take on projects that are more challenging to reduce employee turnover
