    I have been working at Altera part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Payment is a little better than other simi-conduct companies, and the FPGA which is their main product is still occupying a lot of market. It is expected to be better since it is bought by Intel.

    Cons

    Engineers have to work hard in the company.

    Pros

    Altera is deeply dedicated to making employees happy, HR, and facilities and IT work hard at making the workplace a great place. Bocce ball court, gym (just updated), exercise classes. Great cafeteria with half price food Meaningful IC design and test work for Double E's, but also quality, manufacturing, marketing/Corp Comms- grill, ethnic, salad bars, seafood--visiting eateries. One of the nicest campuses I have ever worked on. , finance, operations and so on. Stocks and market cap are great.

    Cons

    Not many, but some processes move slowly, lots of people are responsible for 2-3 jobs.

    Advice to Management

    recognize greater players before they leave.

    I think this company is good place to work and ther are a lot of kind co-workers.
    I like to work at that time.

    They have a small department compared to other company. So, they need to increase their volume in terms of business.

    I think they need to manage a schedule and business plan in advance. Also, they have to take care of each desinger's concern of company.
