    I have been working at Alternative Service Concepts full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    ASC has a number of very good perks including: great pay; wonderful PTO; quarterly adjuster bonuses; casual dress; high retention; comfortable environment; low claim caseloads; flex time; bonus paid for adjuster new client implementation travel, and high adjuster retention for dedicated unit staff. The company is also in the process of achieving the next phase towards Baldrige criteria which will be a beneficial incentive for clients, new clients and employees.

    Cons

    Unlike larger TPA's, ASC is viewed as a regional service provider even though offices are strategically located throughout the nation.

    Advice to Management

    Continue to be actively involved in the day-to-day activities for best results.

    Great benefit, generous vacation time, ability to work from home 1 day per week.

    Too much work for one person. Excessive documentation required.

    Pros

    Great salary and benefits. Excellent time off at hire. Best balance for family. A wonderful working culture. Everyone was nice and helpful.

    Cons

    Conflicting communication from management. Commute to office was awful. Managers teND to micromanage.

    Pros

    Excellent salary compensation, very generous PTO, good overall health benefits, a very family-oriented company, involved leadership daily, high employee retention rate, named a Business Insurance Best Places To Work in Insurance honoree, many outside activities provided (i.e. picnics) and holiday events, bonus programs and incentives, comfortable and convenient headquarters office, and much more.

    Cons

    Offices are fairly well spread out across the country and employee sizes vary.

    Pros

    Great work environment, benefits and reasonable work loads. Company believes that taking care of employees is the way to have great customer service. Many long term employees and flat management structure. Company has regular nationwide call in and employees can submit questions annonymously or during the call in. Each employee including management has a professional vision statement.

    Pros

    ASC is a place where adjusters and other staff can have input into how the processes work. You are a member of a team vs. someone who is just required to hit numbers. ASC senior management appreciates feedback from their employees and considers their employees an important asset. Satisfied employees equals happy customers and ASC is not just another TPA- they are the real deal when it comes to treating their employees with integrity and valuing opinions. They are a brreath of fresh air in the adjusting business.

    Cons

    Smaller company that cannot offer as high of pay as big TPAs but what they lack in pay they make up for with respect and work life balance.

    Advice to Management

    Continue to treat all employees with respect and value our opinions as we continue to grow. We appreciate it and it makes a difference!
