    Cons

    Layed off people just because

    Advice to Management

I understand seniority but if the new people work harder and faster than the people with time y'all guys need to override somethings

    Pros

If you just need a job and love heavy labor this is perfect for you.

    Cons

On regular occasions the foremans and manager would treat new hires such as myself in the most unprofessional manner. They would yell and use profanities whenever things were not done as they wanted. If that wasn't enough it was clear favoritism practiced by the foremans where certain employees were treated better than others. For the type of heavy labor expected of you the pay is not so great.

I have been working at Aluminum Shapes (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Nice people, good learning experience, okay vacation time.

    Cons

Between the media, the debt and the sketchy chinese meetings, this company always feels like its going to close at any point. Management doesn't listen to employees and they don't ask experts for their opinion. Accounting always screws up checks.

    Advice to Management

Give people raises, even though thats impossible since the company is losing money

I have been working at Aluminum Shapes full-time

    Pros

Love the type of work, many improvements made over the last year. ISO on the way. Not much more to be said.

    Cons

Pay pratices. No raise after probation, no night differential, new position same pay rate , unqualified people with less time coming in and getting paid hundreds more for doing less. Many conversations on the subject with management, no change after two years. Presently no future here.

    Advice to Management

Be fair in order to keep good qualified employees and the EEOC off your back. Keep in mind the people in your department who have been overlooked, before hiring and over paying for unqualified labor, at rates higher than the people who have been dedicated and asking for a wage that reflects the position.

I have been working at Aluminum Shapes full-time

    Pros

Good pay, good hours, they are trying to improve. Okay vacation time. Good parking.

    Cons

This place is a crazy mess, just look around the parking lots and you see the mess of machine, equipment, people standing around, their guard doesnt even have a gate. SAFTEY?! What safety!? two people on a forklift, employees mixing chemicals without protection. 0 perks. 0 bonuses. Constantly losing money. Ghetto people employeed who dont care about the material and its constantly getting returned. Stay away. I should've. Management has switched 100 times in one year. They fire people RANDOMLY. Egg shells when your working here. 0 accountability. Someone breaks a machine and no one cares unless it causes EXTREME EXTREME DAMAGE.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees, when they need something get it for them. If they tell you how something should be done, do it.
