    Negative Outlook

I worked at Alzheimer Society full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Working for a non-profit is always a nice feeling because you seem like you're giving back.

    Cons

This is an environment where you do not feel like you're giving back. This is a toxic and poorly managed business. Much of the focus is on prestige and financial gains instead of helping those in need. There is zero transparency from management.

    Advice to Management

You must do better and remember what the society is here to accomplish.

      Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

I have been working at Alzheimer Society

      Pros

Great people, it is a very friendly and helpful environment to work in, lots of space and resources. It is in a lively neighbourhood with lots to do on breaks.

      Cons

It is a long commute to work, and sometimes the work can get a bit too boring and/or repetitive.

      Advice to Management

Provide more training to new employees, it is difficult to get thrown into a job and given important tasks without getting trained. also you need clearer policies.
