I have been working at Ama Laboratories full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Amazing benefits, opportunities, and room for advancement

    Cons

Some Ex employees really have nothing better to do than to trash their former employer that took care of them for so many years.

    Pros

There are no pros to working for this company. You will question your morals daily.

    Cons

This company was built upon lies, deceit and corruption. The CEO is nothing but double talking con artist who let greed get the best of him. The amount of lives this criminal has destroyed and endangered is unbelievable. To anyone reading this review, PLEASE BE CAREFUL of any products purchased. Do your research. If they were tested by this company, chances are they might not work or be safe.

    Advice to Management

In the end, Karma makes you pay.

I worked at Ama Laboratories full-time

    Pros

Initially I was excited to be working at a company with great benefits and a seemingly good reputation in the business. Clean office environment.

    Cons

The owner/CEO presents the current state of business affairs as "business as usual" but that is very far from the truth. From my experience at working at other testing labs I quickly realized the way they conduct tests are not up to industry standards. It's very alarming. We had been raided twice by the FBI and business is all but dried up. We were assured that everything was fixed but it's not

    Advice to Management

    Remove CEO.

I worked at Ama Laboratories full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Paid vacation from Christmas to Jan. 2nd.
    Personal desk/ Computer space.
    Overall a pretty easy job.

    Cons

This company is an absolute mess. They were raided by the FBI last year for submitting fake studies and false positives and since then have been trying to pick up the pieces. Most of the employees quit during this time, and the ones who were left were forced into supervisor and management positions without having the necessary personality and skill level to be in these positions. All departments are a mess, understaffed and without the necessary guidance of a head supervisor.
Many of the older employees have this sense of entitlement and are not open to improvements from newer employees.
They have recently let a few employees go without replacing them and have cut back on buying necessities like coffee, water dispenser, etc. The work atmosphere is very tense and aggressive because everyone is afraid they will be the next one to lose their jobs. Payroll is constantly messing up the checks and making it difficult to receive compensation for overtime hours.
    No dental Insurance.
There is absolutely no room for growth in this company and I wouldn't be surprised if it goes out of business by 2019.

    Advice to Management

Finish contracts and get out or completely restaff, retrain, and hire new management positions.

There were some really smart people in management (outside of CEO). Things got bad when CEO brought in family.

    Cons

Unscrupulous activities of the CEO and his children.

    Advice to Management

Take the hit, Stop blaming ex employees for your greed and arrogance,

I worked at Ama Laboratories full-time

    Pros

Great benefits & pay. Work/life balance is also a perk.

    Cons

Family owned business so lots of drama. Shady things went on , not surprised they are under investigation

    Advice to Management

There is a reason why experts say you shouldn’t work with family and this company is a prime example of why it’s not a good idea.

I worked at Ama Laboratories full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Used to have a great reputation, and they used to treat employees like humans.

    Cons

Corruption, stealing, bullying from company lawyers, and law suits against former employees. Lying, cheating, stealing, and cutting benefits, and covering up harmful events. The law suits are public record, search in Rockland County Court pages for proof. They are trying to blame everything on the staff when meanwhile the family part of the family business wer the biggest micromanagers the world has ever seen. The management fired their own family out of malice and lunacy, you'd be crazy to apply here. Ruining lives and families, one day at a time. Shame on you, Sai Baba is frowning upon you.

    Advice to Management

Shut down and fall on your sword, stop lying, and admit you have been acting like an irrational, horrific scumbag.

    Pros

Use to have good benefits and paid for schooling. Use to have a good reputation but sadly that was build upon lies.

    Cons

Raided and investigated by FBI & FDA twice within a few months.

    Advice to Management

Extremely poor upper management. Very unprofessional.

I worked at Ama Laboratories full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

We were all paid well for covering up for their corruption.

    Cons

This is the most hostile work environment conceivable. Employees are all instructed to pretend to conduct FDA regulated product testing studies and forge documents. CEO and upper management threatened to fire employees for not abiding by their corrupt business practices.

    Advice to Management

Come clean and stop blaming everything on former employees who where smart enough to leave. Owner knew exactly what was going on.

I worked at Ama Laboratories full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Great benefits package
    Generous salary increases

    Cons

    CEO is a lunatic
Upper Management is a joke. Any time we went to them for help they just told us to "get it done." The whole place is a joke. CEO won't admit he's committed a crime and they've been raided by the FBI twice on two months. They deceive clients and want their technicians to lie as well. A sad end to what could have been a great place to work.

    Advice to Management

Get a new CEO, one with a real education who is fit to run a corporation.
