I have been working at Amadeus Consulting full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I added this review because the "positive" reviews seemed to be embellished but overall this is a great company for entry level people

    - great experience on multiple projects at once
    - fast paced
    - your responsibilities will out weight your experience

    Cons

    - poor leadership vision
    - poor project management
    - no projects are scoped correctly which causes long hours and overworking of developers
    - favoritism runs rampant within upper management

    Pros

Co-workers were easy to get along with, lots of knowledge spread across many different people. Consulting allowed for seeing many different types of projects. Hands-on style of development.

    Cons

Somewhat weak project management and leadership. Projects often went over budget due to miscalculations in scope and poor processes for quality assurance.

I worked at Amadeus Consulting full-time

    Pros

Casual Work Environment. Would recommend for people in sales, you will be paid about 50K base and not have to actually sell anything. Hey, they bought a foosball table..so there's that.

    Cons

Extremely arrogant executive team. Terrible project management, to the point that almost every project is over budget. No gender equality, expect to make less as woman. If hired, expected to be laid off with in months due to the fact they have no work. Most developers had very little or no work while I was there, forced to spend most of their time doing "trainings". Exec team is very out of touch, spend most of their time putting out fires with upset clients or trying to pry more money from them due to the project being over budget. The place is honestly a joke, wouldn't recommend to anyone.

    Advice to Management

    Figure it out

    Pros

The company is located in Boulder.

    Cons

They pride themselves on being flexible, but are not.
The executives are arrogant and don't truly want to hear any one else's opinions
A single person could have more than 30 consecutive projects/clients
Constant monitoring of hours and activities
They over hire then downsize quickly, leaving their current employees with too much work and laying off others. Not a good culture or experience.

Overall I didn't trust the executives, they try too hard to have an "easy going" culture, but are anything BUT easy going. Amadeus Consulting is NOT a company in which I would refer a friend.

I worked at Amadeus Consulting full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Culture and casual work environment

    Cons

Poor leadership. Despite your hard work and successful performance reviews, you could be fired a week before the holidays for no reason or without explanation. Executive team is greedy and untrustworthy.

    Advice to Management

Consider the impact your poor decision making has on your employees. Work on improving morale instead of lining your pockets all of the time.

    Pros

Being with a consulting company gives you a great chance to learn the latest and greatest technologies. Not always bleeding edge, but usually cutting edge which has its perks. I love the people I work with, which is very important to me

    Cons

Poor salaries. Bonuses can be nice, but not always guaranteed.

I have been working at Amadeus Consulting full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The work environment is friendly, professional and designed for those that can seize opportunity. It is fast-paced as there are constantly new projects and new problems to solve, as is the case with custom software design, development, and support. There are intelligent leaders throughout the company and not just in a management capacity. The style of leadership gives younger professionals a great opportunity to learn how to become better leaders regardless of their titles. Strong performance is recognized and the company is willing to create new roles to maximize the potential of top performers.

I really enjoy the diversity of the clientele, from startups to Fortune 200 companies. It provides a great insight to how different companies operate and what it takes to launch a successful product. The company values in doing the right thing above the bottom line in both sustainability and for clients. There has not been a time where Amadeus leaves a client in a bad position just to save a few bucks and that speaks to the character and ethics of the owners.

    Cons

The total benefits package is lacking for someone with a family, as is the case in most smaller companies. Certain employees that eventually left were given more chances to succeed than they deserved based on their performance.

    Advice to Management

Start asking if every meeting is necessary and how can we simplify the process.

I have been working at Amadeus Consulting full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The culture of the company is incredible. The executive team works hard to emulate a culture of learning and respect. Executive team is very involved in day to day activities and is always interested in making changes to improve the business. The employees of Amadeus make the company an enjoyable place to work.

    Cons

The world of consulting can create cycles of busy and not busy. During the busy times it can be challenging to keep up with the work load. Executives and management are willing to provide assistance and support. During the not busy times, it can be challenging to add value or work through solutions due to the fact that all hours must be billable.

    Advice to Management

When not busy we should be working to improve our processes so that we can be more successful when busy.
