I have been working at Amadeus full-time

    Pros

    - Good work/life balance
    - Incredible knowledge base of employees
    - Good benefits at reasonable costs
    - Flexible management style
    - Many US employees with 20+ years of service
    - Free/subsidized snacks in the office

    Cons

    - Terrible onboarding process
    - WAY too many logons to remember
    - Too many cooks in the kitchen. When we have a conference call, there's maybe 2-3 client employees and 10+ Amadeus ones, it's ridiculous and leads to frustrated clients down the line.
    - Very European-oriented company so the focus gets lost outside of that region, to an extent

    Advice to Management

The world does not revolve around Nice, France. In order to be a global company you need show employees everywhere that you care about their well-being. We need simplification, we are craving it. Having a billion logons and being told time and again single sign on is not an option because it is not 'secure' is laughable. Top Fortune 500 companies have them and do just fine.

Starts feeling a little monotonous. Maybe, that's just my opinion.

I have been working at Amadeus full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Great facilities and nice perks.
Many job offers for internal/international mobility within Amadeus Group worldwide

    Cons

Big company not always very "agile" and some managers for sure never got any management training...

    Advice to Management

One shouldn't be given a managing position only to allow s/he to get to the next level on his/her payslip but because s/he has good interpersonal and managing skills!

    Advice to Management

Try to eradicate politics and flattery especially from people hired and paid handsomely to do a job.

    Pros

    - good breakfast but even you will get bored of it after sometime
    - good office location in USA
    - big market share in Travel Industry

    Cons

    - Stuck in company centric in house software solutions which are age old
    - too much of micromanagement by seniors and managers brought in US from France
    - a huge communication problem with colleagues in France due to language
    - too much politics been played to keep projects and jobs in France

I will not advice anybody to waste your career time in this direction less company.

    Advice to Management

    - stop importing all engineers from France and create huge communication barriers
    - stop micro managing

    I worked at Amadeus full-time

    Pros

Great people in other Departments of Company. Using Salesforce and Financial Force, improving tools to be used by the Finance Department.

    Cons

The local finance leadership is losing autonomy to Miami. There is one set of rules for the finance department and one for the rest of the company. Due to the failure to make decisions favorable to finance up front in sales cycle they have created a totally reactive environment where people are not empowered to push back.

    Advice to Management

There should be a review of the processes and an involvement of the finance organization in the sales process. Currently deals are made that are very impractical and hard to administer.
