I have been working at Amadeus full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Nice environment, nice work-life-balance, good benefits/pay.
If you are a self learner you will find time to study by you own.

    Cons

Not challenged enough, lot of developers that are not interested in perform quality work, just maintain their job as long as possible. If you are a developer that wants to grow, if you are a fresh graduated and wants to improve your skills, this company (at least in Miami) is not for you.
    Lots of managers.
Hard to grow, unless somebody get retired.

    Advice to Management

Recognize between your employees the ones that are really interested in doing nice job and give them challenged responsibilities.

I worked at Amadeus full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great corporate culture - almost like being being a part of a very friendly family.

    Cons

Salaries may not be up to par with the market. Also, many employees have very long tenure (20+ years), so it may be hard to grow within the organization.

    Advice to Management

Obtain regular feedback from all employees, especially regarding professional growth and salary increases.

I have been working at Amadeus full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

If you are a permanent employee, it is quite a nice place to work, very challenging. You will
    never be bored.

    Cons

Temporary employees have zero benefits, very difficuly to get a permanent position, everything takes ages, quite bureaucratic. Also dependent on headquarters.

    Positive Outlook

I worked at Amadeus full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Worked with some great people and on some very interesting projects that contributed to better decisions, they weren't analysis for the sake of doing analysis. Had tools that helped me do the job and a good manager. It's neat to work at a company with a European focus and outlook

    Cons

Resentment of some in Miami regarding the changing status of Miami vs Waltham was tedious. Some support functions are terrible (particularly HR)

    Advice to Management

Figure out ways to better integrate with worldwide offices so staff have more career opportunities. It might be time to take a hard look at who has been there too long also

I worked at Amadeus full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Very comfortable culture/work environment.
    - Great place to start your career.

    Cons

    - This may not be the place for you if you have previous work experiences elsewhere. Work experience external to Amadeus has no weight in the company after being hired. So, you may feel like not being paid the market value for your services.
    - Promotion is based on the time spent in Amadeus or the work done. People always ask you, "How long have you been in Amadeus?"

I have been working at Amadeus full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Amadeus employees come from all over the world
    High internal mobility
    Great culture, great people
Very smart workforce, employees are experts in their respective field
High recognition & accountable for projects
    Work-life balance
Inspiring CEO and leaders who (usually) trust their people

    Cons

    Internal politics
(Too) low turnover and some people who should get fired stay
    Office is not downtown
Compensation is slightly lower than the average

    Advice to Management

We should have a smaller office downtown for employees who live in the Cambridge/Boston area.
You should not hesitate to fire employees who are underperforming/behaving badly as it drains the team's motivation.
Millenials should have the job seniority they deserve instead of keeping layers for the sake of keeping layers.

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Amadeus full-time

    Pros

If you want to do something other than work this is a great place.

    Cons

No growth in all aspects. No growth technologically, functionally and management sucks. The Unit Managers think they have accomplished everything in life and just don't care about anything.
Some young people seem like they are trying to creat a culture n the company but then at some point get exhausted. Can't blame these young people.
The management seems to not care about improvement and training their unit managers.

    Advice to Management

Probably it's better to move back to France.
What is the point of hiring people here and then making them code monkeys dependent on France.
