All mlm/ direct sale corporate sides are absolutely a toxic and damaging work place. There is no reward for hard, above and beyond work other than more work and if you fail to do that, you are punished. In customer experience you do not get holidays off. The executives decide that everyone else does in the company, but even though customer experience is the front line for the company in handling phone calls for every day, last to know anything going on in the company, take abuse from customers, this department doesnt get to take holidays. This company is a company of false hope and false promises. Do not work for customer experience here.

There is no work life balance here. They will expect you to work mandatory overtime in customer service and travel to trade shows to work on weekends. This very important detail is not mentioned in the interview. The companies policies make the customers very angry daily. Management is not supportive. I have worked in customer service for a while and this place has some of the most disgruntled customers I have ever encountered. You will just be on the phones all day, it’s awful.

One of the hardest things to find in a job is a true sense of meaning & purpose. Every day at Amare is purposeful, meaningful, and is meant to make a difference in the world. That's hard to find. It's a fun company to work at - lots of laughs and high fives. But we know what we are working on truly matters. We have a strong "WHY". The team is full of strengths and works really hard every day. The office is beautiful and the overall campus has a lot of amenities for health & wellness (gym, walking paths, basketball court, golf putting green, pool table, ping pong table, foosball, firepits/lounge areas, etc). There is also a lot of upside for career growth and leadership/responsibility growth since the company just recently launched, there aren't a lot of entrenched middle-managers that have been there forever and will never leave - those positions will be created as the company grows and management said they plan to provide opportunities for current employees to grow into those leadership roles.

Cons

Things can get intense since it's a driven start-up with a sense of urgency to grow quickly. This is not the environment for bureaucratic thinking, and people with that mindset do not fit in.

I feel really lucky to have this job. The people who work here are great. Leadership works closely with lower level employees and really cares about how they can grow with the company. It's fantastic to be working somewhere that really cares both its employees and its company values. The science and products are really high-quality and it's great knowing that I'm helping people feel better. Benefits are good. There is a gym that's open any time, and Amare also pays for exercise classes specifically for its employees twice a week.

It is a start-up so employees tend to have a variety of roles- but I think this is good in the long run because it leads to learning new skills and personal growth.

The ceo! This person causes an incredibly uncomfortable experience working here. You can feel his presence in the room. How he arrives late to meetings, rudely walks out to eat chips and then proceeds to derail the agenda and tear people down. The ceo often demands things in one meeting to only cancel several follow up meetings resulting in him forgetting what he even demanded- causing all sorts of disorganization, anger and frustration that he projects onto everyone else in the room. Ceo also favors conversation with wellness partners over anyone else at company. Family members working here treated better then rest but that’s another story. You can watch the ceo giggle and tell jokes with the wellness partners, playing his act he tells on stage but then immediately turns that off with employees. Dark and cold. Many people let go due to bad budget planning. Sad to see so much turn over, especially with those who started here when the company was first founded. Huge promises, none kept.
