    I worked at Amarin full-time

    Pros

Not a stickler for annoying matrix stuff. It's about performance.

    Cons

The culture is changing and that family feel that used to be an attractive part of this company was starting to feel like big pharma.
Too much compliance training and landmines.

I worked at Amarin full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    -Stock options
    -Affordable healthcare
-Small Pharma, can make quick changes to benefit reps

    Cons

    -Low salary
    -Low raises
-IC payout was lowered and goals increased
    -Becoming political
    -Top performers are micromanaged
    -No positive feedback, constant pressure

    Advice to Management

Treat and reward your top performing employees in each region as such. Many people are looking to leave and have left already. The turnover is not well especially with that complexities that come with Amarin and Vascepa.

    Pros

Small, easy to get quick answers and help most employees very willing to help out when you need it. One product.

    Cons

seems to be micro managed but says not, metrics used when tough times hit; not the real reasons, ie market changes, targets move or retire, etc.

    Advice to Management

Let sales reps manage themselves. Micro management should not ruin another small company with a good working environment in place

    I worked at Amarin full-time

    Pros

Possible big payout when company is purchased. If the drug trials come out as hoped the company will be sold immediately so if you have stock you can make a lot of money.

    Cons

Culture of fear. Let people go with no reason given nor any discussion or warning. New management decides people are gone on whims. Most of the employees are fearful for their jobs.

    I worked at Amarin full-time

    Pros

New Company. Un Capped bonus potential. Stock options. Did not have the usual big pharma mentality. The company has the ability to make changes quickly due to it's small size.

    Cons

Low starting salary at the time. Only one product to sell in 2013 - Vascepa. Large territories. No company cars so you put a lot of miles on your personal car.

    Advice to Management

All in all I thought Management was pretty good with the exception of the CEO at the time. He has since been replaced. The sales managers and corporate people that I interacted with were very competent and professional.
