ALS has Brand name recognition so it’s easy to build your clientele. Growth as a lash stylist is definitely achievable. As you move your way up the different levels of stylist you earn more commission. I’ve made great friendships With coworkers and clients in the time I’ve been here. Oh and PAID TRAINING!

Cons

You can get stuck in a boring routine after a while after seeing the same clients over and over but that can honestly happen At any salon/studio you work at. You work in an environment Raging in estrogen. *Not all females get along* But that’s expected, as long as you’re mature and can be professional you’ll last longer then the other girl.

The owner is wonderful. The manager is super cool. They both are very understanding, realistic ,accommodating And very pleasant to work with.

I love the environment of working here. We had a management switch this past year that got really hectic and confusing but now that we have a permanent manager she has really turned the salon around. One of the biggest advantages working for a salon is that they help bring in clientele and they try to help you stay steady

Cons

The biggest thing is that they really jip you on your paycheck. Upper management pushes you to sell retail and upgrade your client saying that you’re going to get a percentage. However you really only get 4% of what you sell and it doesn’t even compare to the hourly wage. The hourly wage is really lowballing as well. It was hard to figure out how to manage it because if you want to be able to survive off of your paychecks you really need to push everything as hard as you can. And then if you really want to make good money you have to upgrade to be a Master stylist. Also, I do not like having to be timed to finish my sets. Sometimes you feel really rushed with your clients

The clients complain about not knowing a full set takes 2 hours, complain about being told it’s 99.99 for full set then being up charged for volumes.

Lashing is not easy! Everyone must have proper training and patience
