I have been working at Amazon full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I have never been in a place where so many intelligent, easy to work with employees worked. There is no red tape or bureaucracy. Everything works like a well oiled machine. If you ever have an opportunity to work here, JUMP ON IT!

    Cons

High volume of travel in my consulting role, which might pose a problem for some, but they were clear about it up front.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work!

I have been working at Amazon part-time

    Pros

Paid weekly . You can choose your hours for part time and also sometimes there is options to voluntary your schedule time off.

    Cons

Communication skills are lacking with higher management. Co workers like to gossip more than work.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention more to changing the things that are negatively happening.
Remove a lot of lazy people that come to work to chitchat rather than work.

I worked at Amazon part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Freedom of space. Very easy work.

    Cons

They don’t treat you as a person, it’s more so about just having bodies to do the work

    Advice to Management

    Be more caring

I have been working at Amazon full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The people I work with and the medical insurance are great. I do like working four day weeks sometimes. Plus getting stock is a huge bonus.

    Cons

The days can be physically gruelling. The pay isn't competitive to comparable jobs in my area. There isn't a ton of opportunity to move up unless you're willing to relocate.

I have been working at Amazon full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The benefits are excellent. Many opportunities for higher positions if you put in the effort. Its a perfect way to learn logistics. You don't have to be at work if you have the time to cover it. With that being said if you don't come to work, you don't have answer any questions or really call out. Your time, your responsibility. Saying you work for Amazon really does get you far outside of work....

    Cons

The work can be crazy and sometimes overwhelming during peak times of the year. Your hardwork can sometimes be overlooked or misused. No communication between different shifts that can be potentially detrimental to the building. There are signs of favouritism between associates in different tiers. It sometimes takes many times for you to apply for you to get a position, no matter how qualified you may be.

    Advice to Management

Less favouritism. Give everyone an opportunity to be great. Recognize the underdogs who really keep the gears going such as certain departments. A thank you goes a very long way.

I have been working at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There are awesome opportunities for growth and promotion with a flexible schedule. Input on how to improve the business is very well received.

    Cons

There isn't much formal training at the lower levels.

    Advice to Management

Provide some form of formal training to new hires in the loss prevention field to better serve the organization.

I have been working at Amazon part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I would making my own schedule. I also like being home for family. Not sure the perks of being paid to breast pump for your baby will last. I love that aspect. Customers who are nice make my day!

    Cons

Very stressful a lot of customers are verbally abusive. Trainings have a deadline so it a lot to absorb. Policies constantly changing so you have to keep up on your reading. My manager changed 4 times for one year I been here. Metrics can be brutal to keep up.

    Advice to Management

The pay should be higher for workers like me who have many years of work experience. Full time position should be offer so access to health care benefits and paid maternity leave. CSA should not be penalize if there internet goes out as long as they have proof from their internet company. Bathroom breaks should be extended when CSA is pregnant.

I have been working at Amazon part-time

    Pros

The only good thing about this Company is Stocks and the opportunity to get half of your school tuition paid after being with the Company for a year. Also, you do get some sort of benefits which are Dental and Vision and that's about it.

    Cons

The bad thing about this Company is some days you will flex up or down. Some of the Supervisor's at my location don't know how to talk to people which can cause some issues within the Company. Plus, they do a lot of VTO which is somewhat an issue because you do double the work with less amount of people. You will literally go to other people lines to get their package scan down and then you're line will get back up. I don't know if all Amazon are like this but from my experience it's not worth two something every two weeks.

    Advice to Management

It should be some kind of training to help Supervisor understand a better way to communicate with their employees in a kindly manner. Stop with all the VTO's when you know you need all the extra help you can get.
