I have been working at Amazon (More than a year)

    Pros

Health benefits , commuter benefits, front end training so job is not difficult after first couple months

    Cons

Treated like a mindless robot drone so you’ll need those benefits. Career path and department organization tends to change all the time if there even is one

    Advice to Management

Somehow both a severely corporate bureaucracy and also a clicky high school replica which hinders creativity, inspiration and normally motivated employees. Much needs to change

I have been working at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Absolutely no existing pro what so ever

    Cons

Grossly underpaid, toxic environment, no real benefits. However, the worst part of the job is my boss. She has clothing retail management experience and she is the most incompetent boss I have ever had and I don't even know how she got the job since I know she lied about speaking French and other European languages. She forces our team into useless and embarrassing activities just because she takes pleasure in that. She doesn't speak the language so she should not manage me and our team, I don't know how she got the job honestly, she must have been interviewed by someone who also didn't speak the language. She puts each team member against each other and she constantly scold us like we are toddlers. She is really horrible.

    Advice to Management

Please do not hire obnoxious spoiled brats who pretend to speak multiple languages and only have management experience from chain selling boho-chic womens wear. It has nothing to do with natural language understanding, voice recognition technology, artificial intelligence and data management.

I have been working at Amazon part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

500 year healthcare pay (AFTER CONVERTION TO Part time permanant)
Discount of UPTO 100 dollar only 10% at a time on amazon products only
6 paid holidays after convertion as Required by law

You can give feed back on managers But what is done with it is unknown

    Cons

They will cut your pay suddendly and HR will say that they "Do Not need to provide you with information as to why."

you will be over worked for the same rate of pay you are expected to scan 150 packages an hour and if you get below you will get written up

following the rules as you have been told does not excuse system faulures they will blaim you even after finding the error was due to system falure

There are no hand books for procedures to learn from but you are expected to learn as you go

training is limited and tends to only cover the basic motions but not what is expected of you

Getting promotions is very difficult and Not based on schooling

Dispite having a set calander with chances to win raffles they Never Get done.

Management will allow others to do less work and require more from hard worker and even belittle you if you are not going above and beyond

THERE IS NO ON SITE HR all calls are directed out of state then brought round to regonal HR and they often Ignore emails and if you have pay issues they attempt to underpay

    Advice to Management

follow what you were told by Amazon to do as far as raffles

Make sure all are doing work do not over look associates

Do not allow personanal feeling to restrict empolees from progressing

Make sure employees get paid even if they missed a punch knowing ly refusing to pay is against the law

The managers are NOT above the law and should not be coddled by HR

    HR Should be un BIAS

getting to work on cool projects, doing work that everyone in the world knows

    Cons

I have been working at Amazon full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Amazing opportunities for personal and professional growth like no other company I've encountered in my long career.

This is definitely an intense environment to work in BUT I've never encountered a company that provides more support and help for employees. The culture here is like none other.

    Cons

This is very definitely an intense environment to work in. The bar is set very high, and you are expected to produce at a high level at all times.

    Advice to Management

Avoid frupidity (frugality + stupidity). Sometimes adding headcount or getting people good equipment are investments that pay off big.
