I worked at Amazon full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great starting pay and the ability to get raises very quickly. Full training in all areas are offered and if your willing to work hard and sweat everyday for 10 hours a day, 4 days a week, then this is the job for you. The 4 day weeks go by quick, it can be exhausting so proper rest and a healthy lifestyle will help you stay strong within this company. Beat benefits as well once you are a hired on as a full time employee.

    Cons

After 3 years of working with the company you "cap out" at $15.75, meaning you can no longer make any more money than that as a tier 1 associate. Your expected to want to move up in the company and that is the only way to make a better hourly wage, by advancing into management and operations management positions if there are any openings.

I worked at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great working with associates who enjoy their jobs. Room for your ideas to be heard and executed.

    Cons

With a plant running 24/7, it's difficult for your changes to be translated across all shifts.

I have been working at Amazon full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Best benefits you will find for healthcare and plentiful amounts of time off.

    Cons

Poorly trained and inexperienced management. Little stability. Some jobs are very physically demanding. Stressful. You will have a hard time ever becoming more than an employee number. Highly rate driven. 99 percent is not good enough.

    Advice to Management

Stop hiring managers with no experience, stop shifting managers around. Same with supervisors. Give your employees a chance to prove themselves. Help them get around their barriers and understand them instead of writing them up and firing them.

I have been working at Amazon full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

This was a good company to have her first job with. Offer great benefits!

    Cons

This job is hard labor which requires long-standing hours on your feet! Must be able to work overtime during the holidays!

    Advice to Management

My advice to management at PHL4 would be not to play favoritism among their employees. Treat everyone with respect and like human beings. Show more appreciation for the job your employees. In addition, they should treat every employee with respect no matter where they come from and what nationality they are. They should enforce and follow the equal employment act closely and stop the silent discrimination.

I worked at Amazon part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    part time is paid $18/hr

    Cons

i worked at amazon for a year part time, literally 2 days a week, and wanted to die. there’s no reason someone should dread working 2 days a week. their productivity standards are ridiculous, god forbid you stop working for a minute to drink some water or go to the bathroom, you aren’t even allowed to sit down! you could pay me all the money in the world and i still would never work there again :) you get 2 15 minute breaks, which includes walking from one side of the warehouse to the other side. apparently a doctors note is not acceptable to them, if you get sick you literally just have to come to work. they give you 2 days of unpaid time every 3 months. that’s it. no paid time at all when you’re part time.
