I worked at Amazon full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Best benefits in medical, dental, and vision. Monthly bonus and plenty of overtime oppurtunties.

    Cons

    Some mandatory overtime.
Peak season is good money but manditory 60’s.

    Advice to Management

More one on one for good employees

I have been working at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They will fly you out for the interview.

    Cons

Amazon hit me up thru my campus email about twice before I applied and they flew me out to New Orleans for the interview.
I figured they would atleast pay what I currently get paid but they seriously undervalued.

I dont know why everyone saying they pay well because base salary is under 50k.

Talked to them and they told me how I should take it for my growth and not make base salary my concern. Yeah right. She really tried to convince me to leave my job and come for the less pay and work more hours at Amazon.

Definitely wasted my time with Amazon.
They are taking advantage of new graduates.

I have been working at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The pay and benefits are great!
    Overtime offered almost every week.

    Cons

If you’re having trouble making production in one department, they won’t allow you to switch to another department until your write ups are cleared.

80 hours in a calendar year is not enough time to get doctor appointments, dentist appointments, et cetra done.

    Advice to Management

Allow employees to request days off rather than using UPT, PTO, or Vacation.

Allow employees to use Vacation time during black out periods.

I worked at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I could work overtime if I wanted to. I was off three days a week. You get one big break and two small breaks.

    Cons

I hated just being a number and a log in name. I didn't like walking for 10 hours straight. If I had to run use the restroom they were right on me asking why I was time off task for that amount of time.

    Advice to Management

It would be nice if the management knew us other than by a number or a log in name and if we are struggling in an area then find out what they can do to help.

I have been working at Amazon full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Great benefits, including dental and vision, at a reasonable price.
    - Plenty of opportunity for voluntary time off during the slower months.
    - Literally ANYONE can get a job here.

    Cons

    - Back-breaking work weeks during Peak Season (November-December) and in the lead-up to Prime week (June/July).
    - Little opportunity for advancement.
    - While some coworkers are decent people, the vast majority of Amazon's workforce is comprised of the absolute dregs of society. Expect to interact with junkies and criminals on a daily basis.
    - Ridiculous rules that have no bearing on job performance.
    - Complete lack of empathy from middle management.
    - Bait and switch "incentives" like the Variable Compensation Program that rarely deliver what recruiters advertise.
