I have been working at Amazon full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Your work is customer focused rather then internally focused. I've worked for several large technology companies, and the talent level here is by far the best. I'm challenged every day in a positive manner, and the opportunities to grow your career are awesome.

    Cons

Some customers are hesitant to work with AWS because of their fear of competing with Amazon.com.

I have been working at Amazon full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Benefits, time off, stock, bonus pay

    Cons

Low pay, hard to make rent and cover all expenses on the low pay, hard work, long hours on your feet, favoritism among management.

    Advice to Management

Stop the favoritism, seems like the " favorites" are allowed to do the least amount of work, causes low moral among your hardest workers. The reason turnover is so heavy at Amazon. I work at CVG3, have worked at other Amazon buildings and CVG3 Inbound, seems to be the most poorly managed. Complaints fall on deaf ears, reducing moral even more, I always tell people, considering Amazon, to try another building if you can, avoid 3

I have been working at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They'll hire anyone to work the floor.
    No dress code.

    Cons

Leadership principles means everyone for themselves.
    Inadequate training.
Hire thru temp agencies so they don't have to give benefits.
Offices are broom closets with wooden door desks and no windows.
    Everyone is expendable.
    Mandatory OT.
    Upper management hard to find.
No problem resolution- just do as told.

    Advice to Management

Support and train your employees. Appreciate them. Work as a team.

I have been working at Amazon part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The hours are flexible, the pay is great considering the amount of actual work you do, vision, dental, life & AD&D insurance after 90days. 10% discount on Amazon. Friendly staff, they give away tons of shirts and different swag. Random grill out days, tons of hours during peak, working for a company on the edge of doing more amazing things!!!

    Cons

Higher ups can be hard to deal with, as a SC employee you're not entitled to almost any of the same things FC employees are, hours are usually capped at 29 maximum during non peak. a pro and a con of amazon is they will hire anybody, LITERALLY ANYBODY!!! Face tats? Hired. Creepy and/or weird? Hired. Don't shower? Hired. Can't really read, or speak English? Hired. Can't do the job??? Sign here, HIRED.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on your internal candidates when looking for different tier/level positions to fill. Think outside the box, blank slate college grads aren't necessarily the best for the job.

I worked at Amazon full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It's always an active day in the warehouse, and it'll keep you in shape. The work in the warehouse is very easy. You're mostly in control of your own success. Great benefits for a job that's easy to get. Stock benefits are nice.

    Cons

Can be physically exhausting, boring. You always have to be working. Advancement quickly bottlenecks. The cap out pay is too low.

    Advice to Management

Increase the cap out pay for Tier 1 workers or make a Tier 2 for workers interested in taking on more responsibilities like PS, PG, TDR, or PIT.
