I have been working at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Amazon has many perks too many to name but my favorite is the work week set-up. I love working 4-10 hour shifts as it gives you work/life balance. The pay is great and the options for a monthly bonus opportunity is a great incentive for making sure that you do your best and work all of your scheduled shifts. The benefits are some of the best that I have had and I have worked in various industries, so I have something to compare. There is so many growth opportunities and chances to travel and relocate. I could go on and on, but these are some of my favorite

    Cons

I don't have any cons at this time. I am completely satisfied with what I have experienced thus far

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work

I have been working at Amazon part-time

    Pros

It's fairly easy to work and it's something I can see myself doing.

    Cons

They stress us out about "stow" rates when I feel they have no idea how much work goes into it. Yes, you might have done this job years back but Amazon is way more popular now than 5 years ago. I feel they push the "quota" too much at my specific location and you get no days off for seasonal workers.

    Advice to Management

    We deserve time off.

I worked at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Decent pay. Decent hours.

    Cons

I worked as a delivery driver for Amazon. A startup hub in Ohio. For one, they tell you when you start your day is based on a 9 hour day. That's a lie. I worked 12-13 hours more times than I can count. When the GPS doesn't work (and it usually doesn't) they blame you for being slow. They have a very unrealistic expectation of how the houses are laid out and how much time it takes to deliver in the way they teach you (Ex: Some areas I delivered in the houses were miles apart with mile long narrow driveways that weren't possible to pull into) they don't care why it takes you longer just that it does. Many drivers don't take breaks/lunch so it messes up the computer and tells them it takes less time to deliver than it really does so you end up with 150-300 deliveries when it's only actually possible to do about 125 in a 9 hour day. They don't care if you work a 12-14 hour day though and if you point out that this wasn't what you were told they act like you are a problem. I don't mind long work days but expecting me to work back to back shifts of 12-14 hours each, three days in a row in 90 degree weather is ridiculous, especially with faulty equipment. Also their promotion system was really weird. Some drivers literally worked ONE DAY before being promoted to WAY above positions??? What? How? And why? To be fair I was also partnered with a company called AAustin Express and this might have been them, but over all, neither party was very understanding of the actual logistics of delivery.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees when they say something is defective because that's what's slowing them down. Ignoring them and punishing them for YOUR faulty GPS and routing system doesn't make them better, it makes them resentful.
