I have been working at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    good salary
    great opportunity to learn
    very helpful team members
    friendly managers
    good work/life balance
    right amount of flexibility
    a lot of new challenges

    Cons

your metrics depend on customer rating, which does not reflect the quality of your work. Customer are not generally happy when they open a case because it means there is an issue. So most of them don’t give any ratings, and some of them give a bad one because they are angry with the issue they are having and not the quality of your correspondence.

    Advice to Management

Employee’s performance should not depend on customer’s ratings because they are random

I have been working at Amazon full-time

    Pros

Great people working in Amazon, some of the brightest minds and personalities out there.
Challenging and sometimes fun work in an extremely fast-paced environment.
Great work/life balance if you set that boundary for yourself.
There are great golden handcuffs with the RSUs when you start.

    Cons

Challenging work in an extremely fast-paced environment, it's not uncommon for the goal of your project to change just before you hit the finish line, but that's part of what makes this a great company to work for (and that's the case at most other companies I've worked at as well to be fair).
The annual compensation increase is deplorably pitiful, especially when compared to the process you're required to go through for the end of year review. There is no year -end/holiday bonus, and the employee discount is a bit of a joke.

    Advice to Management

Compensation levels for annual reviews need to be tripled to cover cost of living increases.

I have been working at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Freedom (to propose a new project, improvements), bar raising (always improve everything, always we should be better).

    Cons

Costumer obssession is harder than people think. It is harder being interrupted always when there is a problem. It is hard to keep the projects ongoing ontime. Is necessary learn a lot about how to cut scope to deliver on time.

    Advice to Management

Since there are people from many different countries, sometimes it is harder to know if we are in the correct pace. Work too much harder we getting tired and people will give up. Easy goals make the work boring. I guess should have more support to people are starting to figure out what is the stable pace.

I have been working at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Had a 2 week training plan set up before I started, allowed my to learn about my role and meet my team.
Company believes in its leadership principles and lives by them.
Manager is always looking at how I can grow and develop not only the role but myself.
Culture is wonderful, all teams work together and are really helpful.
Recruitment is a big thing at Amazon and its taken very seriously around the whole company.

    Cons

Work life balance seems to be different for everybody.
Offices split between different locations in one city can sometimes make communication hard.

    Advice to Management

Keep investing in the best talent and in the future talent like interns and grads.

    Cons

Because it is fast paced it doesnt stop, you have to just jump on when its moving and work it out on the way. A lot of information that you need to find yourself and sometimes its difficult to find that the time to read up.
