I worked at Amazon for less than a year

    Pros

    The mixture of people, pay

    Cons

Some of the management don't have the people skills to manage big groups of candidates . Also when your a Xmas tempt the agency tells you it's a 9 month contract which is a lie . The whole atmosphere changes once the first batch of people start to get let go which start usually on the 23rd of Dec( shocking) and just carrys on from there like twice a week sacking 200 people in one go. So obiouvsly you are left feeling...

    Advice to Management

Don't treat people like they are a number. Get a better hiring process and be real with the candidates you take on about the time they will work for you.

    I worked at Amazon full-time

    Pros

If you get a nice team, the work environment can be very relaxed and enjoyable.

    Cons

Very difficult to get anything done. Making small changes can take weeks, months worth of effort can get thrown away instantly when experiments fail or frameworks change. Also had a horrible experience, following the end of my (positively-reviewed) internship, trying to get full time work at other offices in the company.

    Advice to Management

Application process is slow and disrespectful to the applicants. Recruiters need to be better at communicating.

I worked at Amazon for less than a year

    Pros

A lot of good people who really try

    Cons

A lot of the regular staff don’t do a decent days work and they get away with it.

    Advice to Management

Managers deal with numbers and aren’t bothered with personnel. Health and safety is not adhered to with regard to lifting or anything that spoils productively.
