    Pros

    Some of the people (co-workers).

    Cons

Inefficient workflow and design of fulfillment center.
High work rate, which I enjoy. But it is frustrating when you are working hard and several coworkers are standing around talking. Floor supervisors (Area Managers & Process Assistants) spend more time at their computers or in offices instead of supervising associates on the floor. Supervisors seriously lacking in front line leadership skills, supervising employees, and performance management. Not a disgruntled employee, but concerned about the lack of leadership. I am hoping this trend will change, but it seems hiring fresh college grads with no exp in operations or supervisory exp is having a negative impact.

    Advice to Management

Spend as much time working the floor as you do focused on your emails and spreadsheets. Work the floor, interact with employees, motivate and set the pace. Don't read about problems or metrics in a spreadsheet and then come yell at everyone to go faster. Learn the job functions of those you supervise, if you can't do it (and meet your production rates - how can you train them to?
