I have been working at Amazon Flex full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Make you own schedule, money is good, independence and free from an office/dictatorship environment. Lol

    Cons

Using you own car is really the only con.

    Advice to Management

There should be a dedicated Flex Ambassador at each station. That way drivers would have a way of getting their questions answered, new Flex drivers can be properly trained i.e. how to use the Flex app on their phones, how to properly load their vehicles, what to do in case a customer isn't home to receive their package or what to do if they might exceed their 3 hour block.
Try to maintain some sort of regularity as far as when blocks are dropped. I love this job. Don't make t harder for me to schedule work. :-)

I have been working at Amazon Flex part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Decent part-time pay and work. Be your own boss *Independent contractor.
Make money from private vehicle and smartphone.

    Cons

Termination of account if inactive for 180 days, wear and tear on vehicle should require more pay. Can be unorganized during check in.

    Advice to Management

Need organized check ins, first come first serve is insane. Flex drivers don’t get opportunities to work for the corporate Amazon as a future employee. Performance incentives would be nice.
Support needs to familiarize themselves with the app.

Clearer communication on the loading process.

I have been working at Amazon Flex part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Good pay
    Flexible schedule
Different shift times available throughout day(5am-10pm)
Can pick up or drop shifts pretty easily

    Cons

Limited amount of shifts offered, sometimes hard to get hours.
Depending on your area, only one type of shift might be offered. For example, only Amazon Fresh and Prime Now shifts are in my area. These are typically only 2 hour shifts and have a lot of packages with each delivery.

    Advice to Management

Beginning amazon flex is hard due to lack of training and people to ask questions to, I felt very unprepared. Better training would help a lot!

If you encounter a problem it is very hard to get help to resolve an issue, the support team seems very scripted and not always helpful.

Sometimes there are unreasonable expectations as far as how fast you can deliver packages. Amazon doesn't seem to consider factors such as traffic/rush hour, dealing with apartments or lots of stairs, downtown routes where parking is very limited etc.

The flex app is a little glitchy and the navigation system is not great, the app could use a lot of work.

I have been working at Amazon Flex part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They have flexible hours and pretty okay pay.

    Cons

pay your own gas, uncompensated time if you go over shift time, does not take into consideration scanning/loading packages, traffic to are to deliver packages, glitchy app, support team can be rude, inconsiderate

    Advice to Management

Fix the app, pay employers in the case they go overtime on shift, be more considerable of other things such as traffic and unexpected events.

I have been working at Amazon Flex part-time

    Pros

so glad I can pick up extra shifts with all the mouths I have to feed! Kids in school and I can deliver -love the exercise- no gym payments for me!

    Cons

So many gated communities and no pass key to get in to deliver packages -people are just dumb! If they want their delivery, Amazon needs to put something about gated communities and pass codes

    Advice to Management

Amazon needs to put something about gated communities and pass codes - put it on the address information: "If residence is in a gated community, please provide pass code or alternate address for delivery.

I have been working at Amazon Flex part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

get to pick when you want to deliver out of the offers or delivery blocks that are available

    Cons

for the night deliveries some areas dont have good lighting in order to see street names an also the house apartment or address numbers arent lite up so you land up taking longer for deliveries than the time frame that it should take hours arent steady to consider it for a regular part time job cause not a steady income

    Advice to Management

bring back the dot.com delievery blocks that were between 2-4 hours in time also make aure for evening or night deliveries that the customer knows to have good lighting in order to find places quicker i'm also finding lots of areas where delivering that the street sign areas arent well lite so it takes longer to find the correct street its good to have options for delivering so dont only have fresh an resturant delveries available to do allow for morning delivery options for people to choose from
