I have been working at Amazon part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Interesting no day is the same even though you do the same thing every day

    Cons

Harsh conditions. Hot with no AC. Incredibly dirty air filled with exhaust, enough exhaust to set off fire alarms many times. Not a job for people who care about physical comfort.

    Advice to Management

24 hour cycle nonstop day after day everyday is insane just to deliver non essential stuff faster. Especially with a 1 dollar an hour pay differential for grave yard.

    Advice to Management

Amazon has a high turn over because management sucks you have dedicated workers being put through the ringer because the college kids brought in as managers just having fun or whatever reason.

    Advice to Management

Just because people may look dumb, doesn't mean we are. And if we were, we would likely still be able to tell what you think. It may be hard, but try to be friendly and understanding.

I have been working at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Technology interesting and process operation. Tuition reimbursement, “career skills.’ Not really sure if you can survive or not from physical exhaustion.

    Cons

They work u to death, all about production who cares about the employee. You stand for10 hours barely having time to pee. Slave-labor. Day 4 my fingers are swollen inevery joint, including my knuckles and wrists, my fingertips got small cuts and look cellulitic and are bruised. Every single minute accounted for and your “breaks” ha! By the time you walk down all the stairs to a break room ur time is up. They dock you an hour if ur late even one minute. They want every minute of productivity

    Advice to Management

Break time is break time on clock not scan to scan. Leaders should work just as hard if not harder than rest.

I worked at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Great benefits
    Team environment
    Good schedule

    Cons

I got fired and walked out for what they call “not meeting productivity” at 99%
This is a ridiculous policy. I understand that productivity is necessary to meet the goals they set and a standard is needed, but for actual humans to be 100% or more all the time is unrealistic.
