I have been working at Amazon part-time for more than a year

    Pros

There is a $15 hourly wage, overtime pay, and voluntary time off.

    Cons

I have to drive 16 miles every day and back and it is waste of gas.

I worked at Amazon part-time for more than a year

    Pros

easy job duties, original schedules (before the big change) allowed this to be a perfect 2nd job for almost everyone

    Cons

Mgmt had no idea how new shift changes would affect people, nor were they concerned about, other than themselves being affected. All decisions came from Seattle...Period! Nobody knew answers. Also, too many ambassadors who do their best to do absolutely nothing, while trying to give orders to everyone else. Pretty stark contrast of what I "envisioned" Amazon to be vs what it really played out to be.

    Advice to Management

Keep up with whats going on in the facilities future and let the workers know what to expect, instead of "I don't know" as an answer to every question raised.

I worked at Amazon part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Management was professional and treated employees fairly. Managers listened to feedback from employees. Lots of opportunities to train others and be a leader. Something new always happens everyday. Culture was laid back.

    Cons

No medical leave. Can be physically taxing if you have bad lifting posture.

    Advice to Management

Perhaps try to update the scanning devices. The android operating system is outdated on those devices.

I worked at Amazon part-time for more than a year

    Pros

No one bothers you while you do your job. It is easy to come to work, do your job, and go home. The hours were decent; allows time for classes or a second job. I worked the 5:15am to 9:15am shift and loved it. Overall a pretty cool place to work. It can get busy at times, but nothing overwhelming.

    Cons

Training could be more organized and the communication between management and the employees could be a lot better.

    Advice to Management

    Communicate more effectively!
