    Pros

The opportunity to work for the greatest company in the world. Adequate benefits. Plenty of opportunity to advance if you are dedicated.

    Cons

As any other place I have ever worked, there are some challenges pertaining to consistency, fairness, and the culture.

I have been working at Amazon full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Flexibility, opportunity to learn from some of the best leaders in the industry, and challenge the status quo.

    Cons

It's a fast paced environment, and there isn't always someone helping you through the unknown.

    Advice to Management

Starting a new job at Amazon can be overwhelming, offer salaried new hires a more structured onboarding plan for the first 30 days, that helps take the guess work out of what to do.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Amazon full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The pay: the base salary is good and the sign on bonus was great. Some of the people were really great to work with.

    Cons

HR is not respected by the general manager. The world works in chaos and each project is constantly changing. You never know what is going to be asked of you each day. Associates are asked their barriers and managers jump to fix the issues but that is not the same on the exempt side. If an exempt employee voices barriers, then they are given a bad review and blamed for the project failing.

    Advice to Management

The company needs structure. The management team needs to learn to respect their employees, hourly and salaried.

I have been working at Amazon full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Lots of opportunity! Great work environment with lot's of growth. Opportunities to roll up your sleeves and get work done.

    Cons

Way too many hires from Microsoft and the company is becoming bureaucratic with a lot of posing and undermining others. Before you did not have to worry about politics and could focus on your work but now work has aloes down, more meetings and ess productivity. Many old Amazonian's have left, not simply from stock vest but because the work-people are coming to the company since the stock has done well, not because they...

    Advice to Management

Do something to screen people who are interested in the company for greed and a self interest. HR needs improvement. No ethics!

I have been working at Amazon for less than a year

    Pros

You have freedom to do you job, make your own schedule and dress as you wish (respecting the common sense of course). The bosses aren't bosses, they're leaders that understand the companies' principals and help you to go through situations applying them. Interns like me have a huge growth opportunity and if you do everything correct putting on the company's shoes, you're getting hired. The salary and benefits are also...

    Cons

In Brazil is still a new company so it has a lot to grow (that's good and bad at the same time).
