I worked at Amazon (More than 3 years)

    Pros

A good first job for community college student. They will allow you to only work weekends, collect time off and enjoy benefits.

    Cons

This is warehouse work, so if you don't know what that entails just try working in a FC, they will literally hire anyone.

    Advice to Management

The managers and production assistants seem to spend more time on Facebook and YouTube than they do working. It's agitating knowing they make much more than you.

    Pros

Amazon was a large company that was able to offer decent health benefits and competitive pay. That is essentially all the positive I have to say about the company.

    Cons

Amazon is super inflexible when it comes to shifts or changing shifts. The company is very larger and employees are treated rather impersonally and as a number when it comes to anything HR related. The HR manager took little interest in me and I saw them less than once every two weeks. I never received performance feedback or coaching in regards to my job functions. I was given two weeks of training then moved to nightshift where I was alone without any team of management support. Overall, it was a negative experience.

    Advice to Management

Ensure that new employees are onboarded properly and have the training required to be successful in their position. Also, provide feedback on performance.
