I have been working at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Friendly management, awesome benefits and safety team cares. I got injured last week and without hesitation, Michael Gray and the team took very good care of me. The process was smooth and I feel so much better mentally and physically. It makes a difference when the company cares about the employees safety.

    Cons

    Nothing at the moment

    Advice to Management

Train with a little more time.

I worked at Amazon (More than a year)

    Pros

You do get insurance and stock all on day one which is a blessing

    Cons

Pay is not enough for a family or single parent. in order to really see a good check you have to work at least 20 hrs overtime. HR is no help if you need their assistance with an issue about threats or harassment from other employees. If you report a threat from a coworker they do an "investigation" and the person that was threatened ends up getting fired. Not a good company to work for.

    Advice to Management

Do a better job of resolving problems. Pick management that actually have worked in the position or know something about the department that they are going to manage

I have been working at Amazon full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Working at home
    "Met" some nice people

    Cons

Work life balance is a joke - constant OT required due to increased sales in speciality department
I've had 6 managers in less than a year and a half, consistent leadership would be nice
Training is a joke and nothing like taking real calls
Terrible computer system - lots of problems w/down time or things that do not work properly
Low pay, hard to get any raises, hard to understand bonus program
If you are good at what you do, good luck at getting another position, if you apply (yes, this is true!)

    Advice to Management

Consistency in everything would make this a much better position
    Better training
Better pay - Mr Bezos you need to pay your virtual workers more for all that they do for Amazon's customers
Less moving employees from one team to another

I have been working at Amazon part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

pay, free lunch/snacks sometimes, great coworkers

    Cons

short breaks, hard work if you’re not used to it, temperature of building (hot in summer, cold in winter)

I worked at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Benefits are cheap & you’re getting a check.

    Cons

They ask for hard work but only care about the customer. When going through what they call training you will be told your goal is one number. Then when working it’s a different story. The breaks are a joke! 30 min lunches and we were told to clock out at the nearest time-clock meaning I had to use about 6mins my mediocre 30min break to even get to the lunch room and fight for my food. They do offer a second lunch room however for those that actually communicate with the outside world there is a STRICT no device rule beyond a certain point. You’re also told that something that went wrong by mistake is fine because it happens all the time due to equipment but being up to par however you will get written up for it. I could go on for days! Just stay away.

    Advice to Management

Get a clue & Be concerned with the workers just like you are the customers seeing that the workers are the back bone!

  7. "Amazon is deceptive and they steal from their sellers"

I have been working at Amazon (Less than a year)

    Pros

None, they are all cons, crooks

    Cons

They don't deserve any star rating. They are crooks, criminals. As a former seller, when a buyer places a claim on an item and doesn't respond to a refund request given out by the seller, Amazon just goes and refunds the money 100% to the buyer without any return of the merchandise. So the buyer keeps the item and gets the money too with the seller left with nothing. I've went through their so called A-z team which hides behind an email and they are a pathetic group that does nothing after filing a claims dispute and explaining what happened and asking why they unlawfully gave the money back to the buyer and not processing a proper return as any honest business would..

    Advice to Management

Amazon needs to close up shop as with their unfair and dishonest business practices they should not even be in business. Like the management would even care.. from reading all the other reviews about them online.

I have been working at Amazon full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great Pay, freedom to work and grow, great people to work with.

    Cons

Options to transfer in this area are limited. Delivery Stations are separate (and better) than the FC.

    Advice to Management

Communicate plans better, weed out the managers that show favoritism.

I have been working at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

VTO, benefits, decent pay, good co workers, HR and other great personnel available when needed.

    Cons

Consistently on your feet all day if you don't take VTO. A lot of moment with the body (walking, twisting, bending), have to walk through multiple sets of stairs to get to the break room which the breaks and lunches are short (roughly 15-20 mins) (only 2 breaks in a 10+- hr day)

    Advice to Management

A fully operating cafeteria with cafeteria workers and a full half hour lunch would be great. That way associates don't have to pack food for work everyday.

I have been working at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Starting pay was $12 an hour, with benefit enrollment available from day one.

    Cons

The job can be incredibly boring and repetitive. I count inventory all day long, ten hours a day.

    Advice to Management

Don't hire people so quickly only to pressure them to take time off day in and day out every week.
