I worked at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Pay, large break room and food trucks.

    Cons

No life/work balance, favoritism, get berated for getting hurt on the job, high turnover, hr have a condescending attitude to associates, 2 day hit and miss training program, threats of being treated like children from the management. You won't make rate even when getting water, waiting for boxes, waiting for work, or heaven forbid waiting for help from a pa. It would be a great company to work for it they got their act together but it's not likely.

    Advice to Management

Employees are humans and have lives, longer breaks, realistic rates that are easy to keep up with and stop playing favorites.

I have been working at Amazon full-time

    Pros

DON'T KNOW OF ANY BECAUSE NEVER GIVEN THE CHANCE

    Cons

For Months you have sent me emails saying " I am hired and to hold on. Well for months, I am still waiting. "

    Advice to Management

I am retired but had a lot to offer and was looking for a great new opportunity. Your emails have been constant and the one phone call I got six weeks ago wanting me to come in the next day was short lived. Less than fifteen minutes later I was called and said my second background had just expired. Four weeks later, I get another email telling me to hold on. I think your are too BIG to really see whats going on. Oh well, I know I am just a number but my former employer thought much differently. I'd like to see your CUSTOMER SERVICE goals reflect in your HIRING PROCESS.

I have been working at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

12.00 is decent not enough for all the work but because alot of entry level people have never made that much. Good selection in breakroom to buy. If you happen to be placed at a station by someone cool it will make the day go by faster but if you're in between two antisocial ppl the day will be quiet and boring.

    Cons

Ugh. Managers and supervisors don't care about you. Favoritism is very high at this warehouse. If you quiet or the supervisor don't like you then you will never advance. They make you clock out on the 4th floor knowing it takes 5-7 mins to walk down four flight of stairs to the breakroom. Phones don't work AT ALL in the building so you have to go outside to make a call. All the supervisors do is worry about promoting themselves never the crew. You have pallets of boxes after boxes to stow at 250 units per min!! in at a 10 sec rate. No eating on work floor although you are working 3 hrs straight like a lab rat in between 2 short breaks. It's just overwhelming. No Thanks.

    Advice to Management

Build your team up. Give everyone a chance not just the ones you pick. We are all talented. People feel as if they are insignificant and don't matter. Give out more Amazon bucks. Reward us for good work once in a while.
