I have been working at Amazon full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Work from home
Incentives for bring metrics up or down

    Cons

Customer Obsession was left behind in policy changes months ago
It’s all about metrics, you have 12 minutes to talk to the customer, find the issue, resolve it and wrap up the call
Transferring to other departments is almost impossible, even if the call needs to transferred most departments especially supervisors won’t answer, refuse the transfer or hang up
We are just trained seals there to perform tricks for the customers so they are happy.
The on boarding (training) is a whole 2 weeks then your threw to the lions
Be prepared to be cussed, called stupid, and screamed at and this is just by customers not to speak of the management if you get a manager that even knows your on their team. I have been on a team in the past that I never spoke to my team manager. I made attempts but he would be out of the office or just leaving ask a team mate
Your told to not go to Dart about things you need lead approval for, why have the department if we aren’t suppose to use them?

    Advice to Management

Be a manager who is there and present for your shift. Especially if your over a team that everyone works from home.
Don’t hand your responsibility down to others on that team that just suck up to you more than others, especially if they have less than 1 year experience.
Switching teams, you can be moved to another team in a moments notice. In my time so far with amazon I’ve had 9 different team managers. Every manager is different in how they do things and by the time you get use to one manager your moved and starting over again with a different team. So your not just learning how to work with a new manager but also a whole different team. It’s a nightmare honestly constant fear and anxiety about your metrics because you just never know what’s next.
And opportunities to move up are there but you have to talk to your manager and get their approval, so if you’ve had a few non existent ones like I have these chances are gone before you can talk to your manager

    Pros

None at all don't ever apply!

    Cons

This company is modern day slavery & Jeff Bezos is nothing more than a slave master. This is the absolute WORST company to work for!

    Advice to Management

If anybody could see the conditions humans are put in by working here you'd never buy anything from Amazon again!

    Pros

    Benefits, Coworkers, Experience is great.

    Cons

Work life balance, amount of work, and 6 day work weeks.

    Advice to Management

Let your employees have their second break. Also stop trying to pinch and much from everyone for as little as you can.

I worked at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Pay, large break room and food trucks.

    Cons

No life/work balance, favoritism, get berated for getting hurt on the job, high turnover, hr have a condescending attitude to associates, 2 day hit and miss training program, threats of being treated like children from the management. You won't make rate even when getting water, waiting for boxes, waiting for work, or heaven forbid waiting for help from a pa. It would be a great company to work for it they got their act together but it's not likely.

    Advice to Management

Employees are humans and have lives, longer breaks, realistic rates that are easy to keep up with and stop playing favorites.

I have been working at Amazon full-time

    Pros

DON'T KNOW OF ANY BECAUSE NEVER GIVEN THE CHANCE

    Cons

For Months you have sent me emails saying " I am hired and to hold on. Well for months, I am still waiting. "

    Advice to Management

I am retired but had a lot to offer and was looking for a great new opportunity. Your emails have been constant and the one phone call I got six weeks ago wanting me to come in the next day was short lived. Less than fifteen minutes later I was called and said my second background had just expired. Four weeks later, I get another email telling me to hold on. I think your are too BIG to really see whats going on. Oh well, I know I am just a number but my former employer thought much differently. I'd like to see your CUSTOMER SERVICE goals reflect in your HIRING PROCESS.
