I have been working at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Absolute ownership by everyone, regardless of position. Management has some of the smartest people employed I've ever met. If you are a hard worker, expect to earn more and more while getting promoted.

    Cons

You will work long...something I never prided myself on doing. Smart - yes. Hard - yes. But there is an expectation as a manager to work 50 hours a week.

I have been working at Amazon part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

simple work decent pay vet opportunity

    Cons

No parking /condescending ambassadors /horrible training/ faulty computers radios that never work/ “them vs us “ treatment from veteran staff members towards new staff/ way too much micro management different managers delegate conflicting job duties. Brand Ambassadors act like new employees should “know” what to do without proper training or decent materials to actually explain each position.

    Advice to Management

Treat your seasonal Associates with appreciation, we’re here to help out your operations. Train your ambassadors to be more courteous and eager to train than to have a superiority complex towards new staff. Breaks should be delegated in groups. Have at least one veteran staff member present at particular positions instead of scheduling new hires to operate programs they have no clearance or authorization to perform tasks to assist in work flow.

I have been working at Amazon part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The pay and hours are exceptional.

    Cons

Everything but the pay and hours. Anyone over Tier 1 got their spot from kissing the right you know what. Management is horrible and should be replaced ALL OF MANAGEMENT. Would be the best place to work if you didn’t have to watch all of the butt kissing then watch the kisser get an ambassador or PA spot without any knowledge of the actual job. Smh.Beware though because management will take advantage of you if you’re a great employee but will not promote you at all.

    Advice to Management

    All of you should QUIT!

I have been working at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Amazon offers very high compensation and excellent advancement opportunities

    Cons

The company is consistently pushing the boundaries of what is possible, which gets pushed down through management. Most people seem exhausted and unhappy with their jobs, but are masochistically tied to their excellent stock packages. It’s a great place for people that are willing to sacrifice all of their comforts and balance in life, but it is relentless and only gets harder as the expectations continually increase, and the stock only pays out hugely after two years. Most don’t make it one year. I work 12-14 hours a day, and I’m regularly asked to come in on my days off.

    Advice to Management

Management is endlessly pushy to the point where positive feedback sounds forced and disingenuous. More positive recognition would be nice, but Amazon’s culture is unique and I don’t expect it to change much because it’s worked quite well for the company so far.

I have been working at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits, Know what to expect daily.

    Cons

Refuse to remove restraints. Expect you to increase your output without regard to safety standards and rules only count when you have an accident . Want you to use RR only on break. Having an upset stomach can cause a write up for TOT

    Advice to Management

Treat people like adults. Show compassion. Care about safety more than productivity
