    Pros

Amazing and talented co-workers, very warm environment, exciting projects, supportive management that really want you to be successful.

    Cons

organized chaos within the office. Like any new company, structure and guidelines are a work in progress, so that will change soon. It's all a WIP!

I have been working at Amazon full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Great people, somewhat cool product

    Cons

Experience varies (a lot) from team to team, manager to manager. Company provides some career growth coaching, but you take your own wheel completely. e.g. change team and product group that works best for you. Swim or sink culture.

I have been working at Amazon full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There are tons of cool teams with interesting projects to choose from.

    Cons

Be sure to pick the right team with reasonable ops load. It's easy to get stuck on a team with a work dynamic that doesn't fit with your ideal.

    Advice to Management

Ensure teams with high ops loads have other projects to work on too for balance.

I have been working at Amazon full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

One of the most innovative companies on earth! This is an exciting place to work, always something new and challenging. The pay is highly competitive, the talent I work with on a daily basis is astounding, and the culture is outstanding. Very customer focused!

    Cons

There are not alot of "pay grades" at Amazon, so this isn't the place for people who are looking to get promoted every year. Titles here tend to be modest in comparison to the level of responsibility. But the amount of opportunity, and the pay within each pay grade, more than makes up for that gap.

This is true of m6 experience as a customer of Amazon for years. I like the business strategy and it’s growth oriented mission.

    Cons

Need for company to talk to customers person to person.

    Advice to Management

Customer service is a Good thing!

    Pros

Constant learning and growth. Being challenged to learn more and thus grow. Being independent yet accountable for your actions and projects. Freedom to take on new challenges and co-workers' willingness to share information.

    Cons

A lot of information to learn at a fast pace.

    Advice to Management

Provide courses to new employees who do not have experience in using some softwares that are used a lot on a daily basis, for example: excel courses.
