I have been working at Amazon full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There is always a new challenge. You can take on extra projects, and have the opportunity to work with different teams. It gives you an opportunity to explore positions that you may want to grow in to with time.

    Cons

I personally do not have any cons.

    Advice to Management

At Amazon you have the unique opportunity to take control of you own destiny. You will get out as much as you put it. I will say I have seen people burn out, because they aren't able to push back on work life balance. One of Amazons principles is to have backbone, and people who aren't that strong in that principle may have a more difficult time balancing their life.

I have been working at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Not as established globally so a lot of expansion, especially now
    - Constantly innovating (You'll never be bored!)
    - You can do what you want (nobody will tell you no)

    Cons

    - Not a great company for full investment (until retirement)
    - Employee benefits could be better
    - Since every team doesn't intercommunicate, many teams have specific rules, everything depends on what kind of people are on your team

    Advice to Management

Taking a little better care of employee concerns. Not just looking how to better the good of society/customers on the outside but also how to benefit employees with regard to their satisfaction. If we treated our employees like we treated our customers, the average tenure at amazon probably wouldn't be 2 years.

I have been working at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I came to Amazon to work with the brightest minds in the world; so far, my expectations have been exceeded. Not only does Amazon provide the autonomy for leaders to make significant impacts to the business, Amazon encourages experimentation and innovation. It is a fast-paced, high expectation environment, but everyone that I have worked with so far has had the spirit required to take on the challenge and have fun in the process. It is extremely exciting to be part of Amazon - a true opportunity to work hard, have fun, make history. I highly recommend Amazon for operations leaders.

    Cons

None worth noting - if you are looking for a fluff job in a fancy office, this is not the place for you.

    Advice to Management

It is exciting to be part of Amazon and the future. Please provide as much information as possible on what lies ahead; this is one of the most motivating parts of being an Amazonian.

I have been working at Amazon full-time

    Pros

Work along side the best of the best. Having the opportunity to work for a company who says they are customer obsessed and truly mean it. Delivering technology and services that change people's lives for the better. Growth opportunities in every direction.

    Cons

If you transition in from another company or industry that works a little slower, it can be a bit overwhelming at first to see the speed and agility of how things move. Luckily you will hear your team mates and collueges offer there help or answer your questions.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work!
