    Pros

Friendly competitive environment. The overall culture when comming into work make you feel like you’re not really at work. Most of the leadership is what builds the culture occasionally approaching you and simply converse with you. Really building a manager associate relationship.

    Cons

Expectation can be way too high on occasions sometimes makes associates work ethic decline as they are given a goal that’s near impossible to reach.

    Advice to Management

Make sure the type in freight in building corresponds to realistic eos goal

    Pros

This company has a great culture about it and was a joy to work for, would recommend.

    Cons

The hours can be bad and sometimes the other employees are annoying but during peak the worst thing is if you are donut shift (MT ThF) you have to park off site and take a bus.

    Pros

Benefits are great and it is easily to move up in the company.

    Cons

Job can be stressful and there is a high turn over rate. Seniority doesn't mean anything to this company.

    Pros

Good hours, emotionally stable management, hands-on training, 1-on-1 open door policy, little supervision, computer generated coaching's, high turnover associates, low-class workforce, full benefits / stock plan / 401K, Voice of Associate board, many work locations for transfer

    Cons

Computer-illiterate managers, passive-aggressive leaders, glass-ceiling upper mobility, widespread nepotism, plagued with lack of ambition / expectations, procrastination across management, little social engagement, lack of goal-setting / associate assessment, lack of software utilization, mentor program severely lacking, little vacation, no versatile associate training, incompetent HR / resume screeners, lack of vision among Operations, highly prejudice recruitment

    Advice to Management

There is more to managing than the bottom 10%
    Follow-through with your projects

I worked at Amazon full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

This company with push you towards your physical and mental limit. You must work very hard and have a positive attitude to move up. If you are their long enough you can move up by following these two things. Lots of programs and people available to help you on your journey up. You are always guaranteed hours and have the opportunity for overtime. 3 Days weekends and Voluntary Time Off are a nice perk as well. Holiday Bonuses, Dental Coverage and the Career Choice Program are amazing. I really appreciate their willingness to aid their associates with interview prep and mock and actual interviews. You will become an expert interviewee after you’ve done it various times with them.

    Cons

Amazon is not easy. The monotony and long hours can drive people off the wall. During the holidays or “Peak” you will be expected to work 10-11 hour shifts either 5 or 6 Days a week. Numbers, numbers, numbers! And quality. It may be difficult for some associates to adapt and meet production on a day to day basis which could be a cause of higher turnover. You may work in an insolated environment but are being constantly monitored and held accountable for errors and productivity.

    Advice to Management

Do not forget that we are also humans. Numbers are important, but are not the sole purpose for our existence.

    Pros

Great environment, easy work, recognition, pay during peak.

    Cons

Peak. Peak. Peak. Pay is somewhat low. Cross training can be limited or slow going because of the number of employees.

    Advice to Management

Make sure to establish and continue mentoring programs for employees that show initiative. Follow through with your comments.
