I have been working at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    1. Exposure to cutting edge technology
    2. Experimenting is encouraged
    3. Flexible schedule (work from home) - except when on business trips

    Cons

For the most part, you do not get specific assignments - it is up to you to find your specialization, technical challenges to work on, solutions that will benefit customers - in short, you have to be a self-starter! If you like a more structured environment when your manager decides what you do and sets the goals - Amazon AWS is not for you. We also do about 20% of travel - if you cannot accommodate travel, position at Amazon AWS might not be for you.

    Pros

I have been working at Amazon part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great flexibility, easy job, sometimes there’s down time so you get to relax a bit before the next order comes in

    Cons

You have one minute to pick each item so if a customer orders one item from produce and one item from the health section you have less then a minute to get to the end of the store and scan it. It’s just impossible to also scan items in a minute

    Advice to Management

We should be given more time to complete these orders instead of having us run through the store which are full of actual customers shopping

I have been working at Amazon full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You really get to own things!
Really fluid to move around internally
    Great focus on development/training/conferences
    Never boring/fast-pace
    Great colleagues

    Cons

    Heavy workload
Fast-pace (if that doesn't work for you)
    Pressure of Responsibility
Not all teams maintain the same high bar for performance

    Advice to Management

Please obsess over staff like we do customers! It would be the right thing to give the same amount of sick days/public holidays no matter what state we live in!

    Pros

Great stock option but u have to stay with them for at least a year and be full time

    Cons

Room for growth is limited from this company.
They only promote from outside which is damn coz we have to train our superiors
