    Pros

Its a fantastic organization with huge opportunities for personal growth. Amazon really cares about the development of its people. If you ask, you'll get one or more great mentors.

    Cons

There's so much opportunity, young staff need to make sure they have a mentor who knows the Amazon systems & can help speed up the learning curve.

I have been working at Amazon full-time

    Pros

A great way to learn how to deal with dozens of teams at a time.

    Cons

Health insurance is pretty bad for people with chronic illnesses. Pay isn't enough for me to live in an apartment 15 miles from work without roommates. Benefits outside of the Seattle office are trash. Male coworkers make you provide data for every little thing, slowing down design work. Sexism among the WWE team is huge. Huge amount of un-automated bureaucracy. Things move WAY too fast. We're still cleaning up repercussions from rushing old products when they want the new product done.
