I worked at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Your given lots of hours to take off whenever you want with no hassle. Just don't get to zero or your outta there. 4-10 hr days. Like the 3 days off. Decent benefits and pay.

    Cons

Repetitive work. Walking 12 miles a day. Good if you want to lose weight. High rate of piece count they want you to achieve daily. It's not easy to do because people who been there awhile get away with "cherry picking" and leave the crap for everyone else to fight over.

I have been working at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The facility is lose to my house. Short work week.

    Cons

Mental & physical stress, low pay, short breaks, lack of advancement opportunities, you're a robot. LOW pay. Inexperienced/young "management".

    Advice to Management

Treat people with respect; we're not robots. Remove the "90-day" transfer hold, especially when you are offering VTO by the week!

I have been working at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The people you work with make it worthwhile. If you get a good manager then you will have an easy time.

    Cons

Night shift is hard on the body, so is having to put up over 2500 items a night item by item.

    Advice to Management

I love my manager, but I have noticed that other teams managers at work are always micro managing.

I have been working at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Many people complain about the work environment being too fast paced and quality oriented, but what did everyone expect? This company uses one of the most advanced and efficient distribution systems in the world. To be a part of such an intricate system requires knowledge and an ability to produce results that won't clog up the efficiency of the system. The work is hard, detail-oriented, and at times tedious but a job here is also tremendous fun if you can get lost in your work. It's also a genuine opportunity. Less nimble minds fail to see in the long term and look only at the short-term monotony. A job you respect at this company can easily turn into a career.

    Cons

There are many complainers in the workplace. "The work is too hard, the work is too boring, the management is horrible," there are tons more. I've found almost all of them to be false when it comes down to it. Every measure is taken to ensure environmental and ergonomic safety, and also to ensure production is as simple as possible.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing. Offering classes about the company to employees that want to learn would be incredible, though I understand it's an, "our secrets" thing. :(

I worked at Amazon (Less than a year)

    Pros

Decent starting salary, Nice management, I liked working the hours of overnight.

    Cons

They treat you like SLAVES, seriously. I was a packer and it was the worst mind numbing job I ever did. Your feet will burn from standing for 10 hours. They time your every single move. All they keep saying is work faster. This job is a real SWEATSHOP. All you are to Amazon is a warm blooded body. They have a HUGE turnover because only desperate, skill less people can work there. Short 10 minute breaks so ridiculous.

Please only take this job if you are completely desperate and have kids to feed, otherwise go work anywhere else.

They will hire ANYBODY, they don't even interview people, horrible place to work. Everyone who works there is so miserable, and they should be, it is a horror show.

    Advice to Management

Give people 5 or 10 minutes more for break, it take 7 minutes to get outside. This place is unbelievable, never ever did I have a job that was this bad.
