I have been working at Amazon full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

When you join Amazon you join an hectic environment where everything is faster that all I knew in my career however you can get what you want when you are engaged and you deliver a lot. You learn so many great things, you work on an international level and you can move from one great job to another in less than 2 years. You can also lead an international career and nothing is impossible. However for these great achievement you have to deliver, no pain no gain but at the end of the day this company is great and unique!

    Cons

You have to set your personal limits and find with the support of your manager the right balance between your professional objectives and your personal life. With a great manager (and there are a lot of them within Amazon) you can have more flexibility and freedom than other companies.

I have been working at Amazon full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

What I love about working at Amazon is that you get to be surrounded by brilliant, hard working AND kindly people. It's extremely rare to find a company where one's opinion and ideas (always based on data) are listened to and even valued. Nowhere else have I felt I could have such an impact on my company and customers (internal and external). It's a thrilling and exciting company to work for.

    Cons

Sometimes evolution is based more on communicating well than actually working hard and not all avenues are made available or known.

I have been working at Amazon full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - you are surrounded by smart people constantly
    - you are pushed to give the best of yourself
    - you learn a lot
    - you are 'where the business grows'
    - multiple professional opportunities, with new teams and projects created in permanence

    Cons

    - often too demanding: split personal and professional life sometimes complicated to maintain
    - 'never enough' mentality which is exhausting after some years in the company
    - not enough emphasize on management and on training people to become managers
    - very hard and demanding process to evolve - if you don't get one more 'Level' your remuneration does not increase well

    Advice to Management

Train people to become real and better managers

I have been working at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Very smart people eager to improve and also proud of their work.
    A 3rd millennial company.
    Huge challenges at every step.
Being part of initiatives that will shape the future.
    Undoubtedly a career accelerator.
If you want to take data-backed decisions, it’s the perfect place for you to evolve.
A startup culture despite its 500,000 employees is present and felt at every step. For example, projects and products are rolled despite not being perfect as it is assumed the best advice comes from real-word results and feedback.
Jeff is not joking when he says it’s still Day 1.
Among the most efficient job interviews ever.

    Cons

The salaries are not in par with those of its closest peers/rivals.
Very data-driven, sometimes more than it should.
The works council is to some extent disappointing for a company of Amazon’s size and stature.

    Advice to Management

Spend more on your employees: go further than the trainings and workshops and invest in their hobbies and passions.
Recruit more diverse profiles, which is something that is done well, but can be done even better.
Used to be a very flat organization; it’s not the case anymore and some levels should probably be deleted.

I have been working at Amazon full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great career opportunities at Amazon, where hard work is highly rewarded
A "Raise the bar" state of mind that push forward to learn new skills (SQL, Excel Advanced, etc.)
A very attractive salary for fresh graduate

    Cons

Life balance can be sometime highly impacted, especially around Black Friday / Christmas Rush

    Advice to Management

Amazon should consider more carefully about well being at work (sport infrastructure, HR follow up, etc.) since we're working A LOT at our office especially during Quarter 4.
