I worked at Amazon full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great starting pay and the ability to get raises very quickly. Full training in all areas are offered and if your willing to work hard and sweat everyday for 10 hours a day, 4 days a week, then this is the job for you. The 4 day weeks go by quick, it can be exhausting so proper rest and a healthy lifestyle will help you stay strong within this company. Beat benefits as well once you are a hired on as a full time employee.

    Cons

After 3 years of working with the company you "cap out" at $15.75, meaning you can no longer make any more money than that as a tier 1 associate. Your expected to want to move up in the company and that is the only way to make a better hourly wage, by advancing into management and operations management positions if there are any openings.

I worked at Amazon full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Great community. Very good starting pay.

    Cons

Poor communication between departments and well as manager to associates

    Advice to Management

Talk to your people. You have quality people there and sometimes communication does not make it down to them.

I worked at Amazon full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Hourly pay is higher than most other jobs in the area, and overtime is offered frequently (where you make 1.5 your hourly salary). Shift bonuses for working nights and/or weekends. Training is extensive to cover many situations and expectations are made clear. Safety is emphasized! There are always risks in the warehouse industry, but Amazon has a very comprehensive and consistent safety training compared to other...

    Cons

It is a physical job, the environment is noisy and can be dirty. There is a lot of walking, the shifts are long, you will sweat, and you will get exhausted easily if you are not careful to make sure you sleep and eat enough. Many people who were used to office or customer services settings had a hard time adjusting to the warehouse setting, but some people actually prefer the warehouse setting. Just know going in that...

    Advice to Management

Con: Even though employees should be 'flexible' and open to new situations, one of the things I (and that many others I knew) liked the most about the job was the predictability. Keeping an open line of honest communication sets clear expectations. Not telling the standard workers what is happening/changing just frustrates most of us, because we aren't stupid and can usually figure it out anyways. Change is good, but...

I have been working at Amazon full-time for less than a year

    Pros

3 day work week, good pay, 4 days off.

    Cons

Boring work, dealing with some over zealous co workers, night shift

    Advice to Management

If music is allowed try to insure speakers are where everybody can hear it. Switch people to different tasks regularly so the boredom at one job doesn't overwhelm workers. Giving tips is great. Giving tips when your trying to make rate isnt great. I would rather be told tips when I wasn't being timed for rate.

I have been working at Amazon full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Training opportunities along with organizational priorities make the job not only clear, but I am given the tools to do it. Working in a high pace challenging environment is great for employees and our customers.

    Cons

Startup mentality and tooling in a large company make some days challenging, trying to find the right tool or team, and learning to ignore outdated information can be difficult at times.
