    Pros

Management and "Boss" are amazing, management has evolved into an amzaing, organized force. A team of well educated and informed people who really are open to discussion and progress. Best management team I have ever worked with. Our PA,and PGA are just as amazing. Co s are available hrs., but option to use pto in emergencies etc. The work floor dynamic works for me. Very organized and fluid.

    Cons

Breaks would be adored if a little lo ger

    Advice to Management

None, I enjoy their ethic and integrity they all are great examples of what Amazon stands for

I have been working at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    -good pay
-full time benefits starting day one
    -ability to learn new things

    Cons

    -not enough time for breaks
    - don't agree with the whole "your 15 minute break includes your 2.5 min walking time to and from" thing.
    -there is some favoritism
-please give associates more incentives to want to stay. These vendor bucks and contests are few and far in between.
-Also, when associates win something, it's a little offensive to give them a t-shirt you KNOW they already have.

    Advice to Management

    Stop playing favorites

I have been working at Amazon full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Stable employment, opportunities for growth and tuition assistance, benefits. Great full-time job for someone young with little work experience and in reasonable shape.

    Cons

Even when expectations are exceeded push to do even more, and where hard work is rewarded with more hard work. Frequent changes in management. Warehouses sometimes uncomfortably warm.

    Advice to Management

When associates are being pushed to their physical limits and meeting expectations, be a little reasonable when pushing them to do more, be respectful and appreciative of hard work and effort.

I have been working at Amazon full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Decent pay. Fast paced environment.

    Cons

Managers who do not care about the customer, the associates or the process.

    Advice to Management

Know your role. It isn't just about the head count, the % to plan or connections questions score. Understand what the people you are asking to meet those numbers are going through. It is HARD to pick, pack, problemsolve, stow, or load a truck for 10 hours. Don't hide labor hours, leave the transparency in the process so it can be fixed, because while on paper it looks like you are hitting the numbers it is the associates who suffer.
The leadership principals and processes work if we let them.

I worked at Amazon full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Instant benefits. Stock issue of 2 Amazon shares (2 years to vest). Easy online access to all personal information.

    Cons

Low pay. Low pay. Low pay. Long, mundane, boring work. Really boring.

    Advice to Management

Amazon is a Trillion dollar company. Bezos has a net worth of almost a Trillion. I know you can afford to pay your fulfillment center associates more than $12.
    Please,

I worked at Amazon full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The Pros to Amazon are the Benefits that you get first day, VCP ,it's like extra money on your check for the building being productive and also that Entry Level associates can move up in Company (easier if willing to relocate).

    Cons

The Cons to Amazon are the training program, the childlike management, the lack of care for associates, and a horrible work life balance. Training was the biggest issue during my time at Amazon. I experienced lack of training at every level (from temp to production data analyst) and would have to just figure it out to do my job effectively. Management is not the most useful when it comes to handling associate concerns. It may be because of the predominately young management that Amazon loves to employ. Turnover is High at Amazon. I am told the reason is because Amazon doesn't really like keeping employees for longer than two years and having to pay benefits out. From the inside looking out...I can see it.

    Advice to Management

Management unfortunately also suffers from NOT being properly trained for their roles and are thrown into sink or swim situations all the time. Managers can also be childish and unprofessional. It's true that you can find this everywhere but its centrally located at Amazon, there are a lot of them in the company

I have been working at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Great benefits
Never the same day twice, it's always "Day 1"
    Challenge yourself every day

    Cons

Long hours-typical 16 hour day during peak
Metrics/Data driven company; Not a people comes first place
If your looking for recognition for a job well done look elsewhere

    Advice to Management

Managers are people too, and should be considered when making decisions. High turnover of Area managers are a direct reflection of upper managements lack of concern for their people.
