    Pros

A place to meet new people and gain new experiences.

    Cons

Some of the managers can be very lazy or don't give recognition to the current employees which makes them feel unappreciated.

    I worked at Amazon part-time

    Pros

    You can pick your schedule

    Cons

You cannot change the schedule you pick.

    Advice to Management

Flexibility is key. Don't draw a hard line with schedule changes. Due to your lack of flexibility in scheduling, I had to quit the job. At first I chose to work six days a week, which they gave to me. Then after I discovered how strenuous the job was, I asked to change the schedule to 4 days a week. I was advised by the HR associate that no schedules can be changed until Jan 3, 2017. I said then I will have to quit the job and she advised me that was a decision I would have to make but she could not help me. If you don't care about me, then I don't care about you. Bad impression for a new associate.

I have been working at Amazon part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Lots of good people to work with, they do have several schedules to choose from. But I will say we were told some untruths when we first signed up.

    Cons

On the other hand there are many not so good people. The worst part is the management doesn't seem to know if they are coming or going. They have no control over the not so good people and seem to have no concern what so ever. I hate to say to say it but them seem totally clueless. They make promises that they don't keep and for that reason no one believes a word they say.

    Advice to Management

Get more involved with your people and show some concern for them, show them that you care about what happens to them and the business.

I worked at Amazon part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Easy to apply! Great job for an active person. A shift for every situation. Can pick up extra shifts when available.

    Cons

The short shifts make a living wage difficult. Short notice flexing the shift up. Sometimes you don't actually know until the buzzer doesn't sound.

    Advice to Management

Make sure your equipment is up to date, as well as logistic practices. A big company using small company equipment makes no sense to be competitive.

I worked at Amazon full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Work from home is nice

    Cons

If seasonal Amazon tries very had to keep you that way. I had my manager and her manager vouching for me to convert to a regular employee and the third higher up manager would not allow it after 8 months. No benefits, vacation, or sick days if you are not a regular employee.

    Advice to Management

Management could use a bit more training on policies

I have been working at Amazon part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The hours are flexible and it's generally a good second job to support with yourself with.

    Cons

The hours don't fit into a natural shift setting like 8-4 or 4-11 or 12, and you honestly can't support yourself on this job alone.

    Advice to Management

Give more trial periods to employees who bring up ideas and just make more rounds on the floor. A lot of behavior goes unpunished for slackers.

I have been working at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Work from home
    Unpaid time off
    Set schedules
    No commute
    Great benefits for regular employees
Wonderful life/work balance and opportunities for regular employees
    Opportunities to move up

    Cons

    Low salary
Must pay for and have dedicated landline phone
Must high very high speed cable internet hardwired
    Must have strong compatable PC
Not eligible for a lot of regular employee benefits
Responsible to pay for all bills for dedicated utilities required for position

    Advice to Management

Let seasonal employees know how they are going and let them know about the likeness of being hired during the time of employment much before the seasonal position ends. I've work for the past 5 months and still.unsure if I will be offered a regular position. My season time ends in less than a month and I have no idea if I will be offered a position at this point.
