I have been working at Amazon full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Not many associates are fired. Unless you steal or promote work place violence. You get basic training.

    Cons

Not much chance for promotion, training or job rotation. You get stuck in one spot unless you become best friends with the managers. Many over qualified workers are over looked so that the management freinds can be advanced. Good, solid workers don't stay very long. Manager don't interact with the employees other than to tell them how they might have made a mistake. They invent and complicate processes to a point that goals are unreachable.

    Advice to Management

Stop the good buddy practices. Test and simplify a process before making it a standard. Try and keep the good solid workers and just say oh well when they leave. BNA2

I have been working at Amazon full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

challenging environment- good place to really grow as an employee
great job security and company growth
10% discount on purchases on Amazon.com

    Cons

    changing and conflicting job expectations
    extremely heavy workloads
low pay caps in the FC world
    high manager turnover
    no substantial tuition reimbursement

    Advice to Management

Provide more opportunities for the talented employees you have. Investing in the tier 3 employees that carry shifts through manager after manager might lead to higher morale and more associate interest in advancing with Amazon.com.
