I worked at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Decent working conditions. Good pay and benefits.

    Cons

You will NEVER get coffee when you are working the graveyard shift, at least we never got it regularly. Even though we bought it to the notice of our bosses. Training was bad, they did not have professional experienced trainers. People who had joined moths ago and were still on the job, trained. A case of blind leading the blind. Safety policies, do's and don'ts never disclosed. Then when someone commits a minor infarction it is magnified a million times and one is transferred and told to leave.
Managers feel threatened by smarter and hard working sub ordinates and start playing favorites with subtle needling and suddenly going by the book.

    Advice to Management

Ramp up training and have a system of checks and balances where team members grievances are concerned.
Don't allow one person to play Judge Jury and Executioner........

I worked at Amazon full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

great growth potential, well educated staff

    Cons

Tier Management, cut throat politics, worst HR in the business, nasty labor and management practices, move up or move out policy, age discrimination, tattoo discrimination, this company has completely lost sight of its own vision, it thrives on bring new personnel in using them to achieve a desired result and if they do well and their manager feels threatened the culture is only to protect oneself the remove the threat without regard for the company or the person who they feel threatened by.

    Advice to Management

treat all employees equal, reward achievers and do not feel threatened, remember with age comes knowledge. never judge a book by its cover, and if the majority finds a issue with someone or something listen to them, remove rates for the AA's and Managers and relook at the MOT forced on already hot, tired and frustrated AA's.

I worked at Amazon (Less than a year)

    Pros

The pay was wonderful and all the benefits were good. The no interview was great. Because that is a weakness for some people./

    Cons

They would have temps come in and offer them day positions that people who have been there for months would want. Then tell them there isn't days available. Over worked under apreciated. They give so little time not expecting the issues.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your workers.

    Pros

Good pay, great benefits and nice shifts. A lot of great people to work with. You get what you put in.

    Cons

Not much training. You pretty much get thrown into whatever you are doing. Not much management input unless you are doing something you are not supposed.

I have been working at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Best hourly rate among 4 warehouse jobs I've had. Great benefits: health, stock, time off, discount. Take safety seriously.

    Cons

On feet 10 hours, buy shoes with padding or gel inserts & compression socks. Could be fired for minor infractions so go by the book.

    Advice to Management

Best company I've worked for. Good people, process and policies make repetitive and uninspiring work less boring.
