I have been working at Amazon full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Huge growth organization, highly engaging and significant loyalty to the brand. As an employee you feel a part of the bigger picture, and take pride in the organization you work for. It's highly innovative by nature, there are many talented individuals here and so the peer group and network is great.

    Cons

Amazon is very face paced and the only constant is change, this can present time restrictions but also the need to be agile and fluid. This is not necessarily a con but can be more challenging for some rather than others.

I have been working at Amazon full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great place to start out a career. They give you a lot of responsibility so there are a lot of opportunities to make an impact and use these experiences for later career moves. Pay is good but you will earn every penny.

    Cons

Lots of overtime. They will promote a 4 day (12 hrs per day) workweek but we were always short staffed so OT was always on. Management has to come in for OT but we end up just being idle bodies. The idea is to work on projects but by the time that fifth night shift of the week rolls around youre just beat.

    Advice to Management

Management will make or break your experience here. Learn the difference between healthy stress and debilitating stress. After working for a boss I loved for 7 months I was given someone new and swear to god my hair started to fall out because of the poor leadership and stress that ensued.

I have been working at Amazon full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great Benefits, RSU Stock Awards, VCP monthly bonus, career choice tuition assistance, and a lot of options for moving up.

    Cons

Starting out, you will likely work 10 hours, 4 days a week. Most of which is spent standing in one place, depending on the building type. It's not for everyone.

    Advice to Management

If you have direct associates under you, no matter their level, guide them to success.

    Pros

    Compensation is good
    Career growth
    It's challenging work, but rewarding

    Cons

You can get left out on your own for days, weeks, months at a time. Just be prepared to work through it

    Advice to Management

Understand how your decisions are going to have a downstream effect
