    Pros

You understand and value the hard work an amazonian does in order to satisfy every customer. Making sure they get their package in time and complete.

    Cons

Some departments are more difficult than others, for example you do more heavy lifting for 10 hours straight and you get paid the same as other departments.

    Advice to Management

    Be a leader. Be fair.

I have been working at Amazon part-time

    Pros

Good workout, easy, benefits including health pay and dental. Plenty of UPT given and paid holidays plus if you work on a holiday you get holiday pay, and time and a half. Lot's of VET opportunities if you want to work more hours.

    Cons

It's a HOT warehouse, so be prepared to sweat.

I have been working at Amazon full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Fair wages for the job/area and time-based raises
Lots of overtime available, especially if you cross-train in different departments
They help with school after a year of employment
    Typical warehouse job

    Cons

Long hours if you're not used to it
Numbers-driven culture gets out of hand sometimes
    Typical warehouse job

    Advice to Management

Take a look at your people, not just the numbers they produce. There's a 70% turnover rate in the first 3 months, by your own numbers. Great. That's because you hire almost anyone off the street, which can be a good thing. Call the short-termers faceless numbers if it helps.
If someone's been there a year, or two, or three, and been a good employee, take a look beyond the numbers. What's the cost of retrain to replace them? What will the effect be on them if you expect the impossible and they can't achieve it?
Look more within the ranks for management. You don't have to bring in a 22YO college grad who's never worked to manage a department/shift.

    Pros

it pays well and you get much team work experience

I have been working at Amazon full-time

    Pros

You get medical benefits day one

    Cons

Hard to transfer to other parts of amazon

    Advice to Management

Don't rely on the numbers the system puts out. Not all factors have been accounted for. You still need leadeship skills and people skills to lead every one on your team.

I have been working at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

No... nobody is crying at their desk. Work-life balance in my team is pretty good.
Off-hand project management. Within a certain constraint, you can work however you want, whatever you want, and whenever you want.
A lot of smart people around you.
People respect you because you work for Amazon.

    Cons

Recent large scale hiring brought some mediocre engineers to the company.
Bad onboarding experience. Amazon relies on your team to onboard you. When the team doesn't have a plan, you get in trouble.
I can see that if you are not a top-notch developer, you may struggle with the job. People have high expectations and no one is gonna tell you that you are doing a good job.

    NO FREE LUNCH

    Advice to Management

Implement a plan to eliminate engineers that are good at white-boarding but doesn't have a clue on real work.

Onboarding... I know you put a lot of resource in it already, but you need more! And a lot more on the team-level.

Come on... give us free lunch!

    Cons

Nothing to add for cons at this time
