I have been working at Amazon part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    You're paid on average $400 a week (12/hr).
The work is individual based so you're pretty much independent.
Over time is always available and it's hardly ever mandatory.
It's so easy to get hired.

    Cons

    They're a lot of lazy people .
It's so easy to get written up or fired. ....in the stowing position you're like the last line of defense , so if the people before you did not properly do their job it could cost you yours. They tell you all you're doing is making space for packages but fail to go into detail about the thousands of ways you can be terminated. There's no time to use the restroom or take a break.

    Advice to Management

If the pickers are falling behind take the time to train volunteer stowers instead of constantly sending messages to people aren't qualified. Those messages can disrupt the stowing process which can ultimately cause a shortage or overage. And please stop locking the floor without telling us , it causes TOT because we're trying to stow when it's literally impossible.

I have been working at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Good Pay, Benefits, Retirement

    Cons

Not very flexible regarding p/t schedule accommodation for seniors re-entering workplace.

    Advice to Management

It costs more to keep hiring and training than to keep employee, make some adjustments, if needed, than to keep hiring by the mass and sort through new-hires like objects, not people. Learn to value the working person, no matter age, or disability.
